I read your whole fic today and nearly died from the overwhelming joy of finding such a fantastic fic. I adore your writing style, it’s just so funny and touching and sad and just…*happy sigh*. Oh, and you like Lemony Snicket and Brian Jacques and Finding Nemo which automatically makes you awesome *solemn nod*. I think this would have to one of the best fics I have ever read on FFN. Barb and Emily are beautiful characters; it’s great that you have managed to keep them so Un-Sueish. I cheered out loud when Boromir proposed to Emily, I think the Dear Old Mater thought I’d gone even more insane than she initially thought. I was also nearly crying when Hadrien died.

I LOVE your Frodo POV in Chapter 31; it captures the essence of the ring’s awesome power, and, by the way, the ring is creepy. Oh, and I just want to say, I would totally marry your Imrahil! He’s adorable… and the crazy herald sounds just like one of my friends. Barb and Lindir…they *did* get together, didn’t they? And is the fic actually finished?

By the way, Snodgrass, I love the sound of your suits :P May I be bold enough to suggest that Purple with vertical Lime green stripes is a rather flattering combination!

I just found your story. It took about three days to read through and I consider it one of the best stories on this site. I cracked up laughing, I came very close to crying (it takes a lot to make me actually cry). The way you wrote Frodo's POV was heartwreching. Thank you.

By the way, did you write the condensed LotR movie scripts on the Council of Elrond website?

I was extremely relieved to scroll up and see that this story was *not* marked as 'complete'. Thank ... who should I thank? Eh. Merlin, the Valar, God...take your pick.

That said, hopefully you can tell that I absolutely love this story...Well, the first chapter or two weren't my favorites, but still readable-and by the time they got to Middle-Earth, I couldn't stop reading!

You have an amazing story here. Not Mary-Sueish at all, nearly made me cry in places, and humorous at the most interesting times! Favorites would include: Legolas and Gimli's ongoing argument over the grandfather who couldn't possibly have killed the elf, the whole *not* kissing Legolas scene...(where it's like Barb is about to and then the reader gets thrown off [and startled, and starts laughing] at the whole ear thing...hopefully that makes sense to you...) well.

I'm really glad you brought Lindir to Earth (assuming that's what you did). Um, feels like there was something else I wanted to say there, but I forget...

Ah, well.

This story is amazing. I think I said that. Oops. Well, it's a compliment, so hopefully you don't mind it being repeated...

Right. Amazing story. (got off strack there.) The characters are well-written, pretty believable, and, well, you make them *real*. Intense scenes-like Frodo and Sam on Mount Doom and the Battle ... well, I'd say 'for gondor', but I think I'm mixing up a few of them...well, suffice it to say that the Mt. Doom sequence and the battles were all very well done and...awe-inspiring...

Hopefully you enjoy getting long reviews, because there's no way I'm shortening this.

PS: I've been wondering for a while, and I'm sure this is something I should already know, but just *what* is the significance of 'Welcome to Rivendell, Mr. Anderson'? I've seen it in more than one story, now, and would really like to know what it refers to, especially considering it's the title of this story...~DawnFire~

This is by far one of the best stories i have read. It is just fantastic. i do hope there is more. (Poor Lindir)

lol if i found 9 strange guys in my house in the middle of the night when my parents were out of town pointing sharp objects at me i would freak, not invite them to sit down. Even if they looked just like the actors in the movies I doubt I'd recognize them in the dark without my glasses on lol i'd probably scream or faint or try to call the cops if i could hee hee. sorry, interesting :)
