So much to love! It's real and then it's charming and then it's funny and then it's heartfelt. Your Jack and Daniel are spot-on, both individually and as a dynamic. Your Jack sounds like Jack in his dialogue and your Daniel sounds and behaves like Daniel (I can see him in my mind's eye just from your description of his body language), but then beyond that, they *feel* like Jack-and-Daniel, so much going unsaid, so much water under the bridge yet still innately trusting of the other. You captured them perfectly. Thanks for this lovely read!
