Child of Dreams chapter 7 . 9/15/2012 (smiles happily) |
A Persnickety Haberdashery chapter 7 . 11/21/2011 OK so last chapter didn't have as many spelling mistakes. This one, however, does. Please read over carefully. |
A Persnickety Haberdashery chapter 5 . 11/21/2011 Your spelling really needs work. In this chapter alone, there are already numerous spelling misrakes, such as your usage of fallow instead of follow. Granted, the former is an actual word, but it is the wrong synonym. Don't just rely on spell check - if you are - to check it for you, since it will only correct actual spelling typos and errors, as well as standard grammatical errors - and not incorrectly used synonyms. I suggest you either read over it carefully, or you get yourself a beta editor. Really quite good, despite this, though it could be longer in chapter lengths. |
monbade chapter 7 . 9/10/2011 good start, to bad its dead |

Griffin Raven chapter 6 . 6/23/2011 So will any of the professors even consider; (a) just how Harry managed to apparate himself to hogwarts and through the wards; (b) or how Harry was able to blow Hagrid away from him when hugged him in Albus's office and scared Harry? So Harry has an understanding of chemistry and was meticolous in his preparation of his potions ingredients & getting his potion done to higher level than most 1st yrs? With the amount of time Harry spent in public libraries whilst he was home-less, clearly shows that he's very like his mother Lily. Perhaps it would be better if some of what Harry had been through whilst he was missing was made public, along with giving the hoarde of press a prepared picture of Harry? Then they might level hogsmeade...what do you think? I think Harry clearly has many traits of; Ravenclaw, Slytherin and Gryffindor...to have survived all what he's been through with the Dursleys and on the streets. Considering that Harry, very likely doesn't trust easily, I did think it was surp-rising how quickly he seemed to click with Hermione and Ron? Though I can understand why Harry felt it was easy to trust both Albus and Hagrid...who wouldn't? I can't wait to learn more about Harry's meeting with Sirius in his cell in Azkaban, and how he believed him to be his imaginery fairy godfather. Just how will Harry deal with this issue, will he try to learn more about Sirius? Or how he came to be in Azkaban? Or will he want to write or visit Sirius? Just where has Scabbers/Wormtail/Peter Pettigrew disappeared to and why now? |
Griffin Raven chapter 4 . 6/23/2011 Shouldn't Albus or Minerva have arranged for one of other students of gryffindor to show Harry around, to explain somethings about hogwarts, the wizarding world in general. Perhaps someone should direct Harry to the relevent books that will help fill in some of the missing knowledge about hogwarts, the wizarding world and his family? Also none of the staff even considered how much schooling that Harry might/or might not have access to since he was aband-onded by the Dursleys? Or if he had any current injuries or his general state of health from living on the streets? So shouldn't Harry have been set to Poppy in the hospital wing to have a complete physical; because I bet Harry's seriously malnutruious from living on very little for throughout his childhood (both at the Dursleys and upon the streets)? Just how will Severus behaviour towards Harry, now that he's returned from the dead? The goblins of Gringotts would have known that Harry wasn't dead, because his trust vault would have been closed if he was dead. Also Harry's name was still on the hogwarts attendance register, wasn't it? Who will be appointed Harry's guardian? Is Sirius still in Azkaban and Peter hiding in his animagus form of a rat with Ron Weasley and Remus is perhaps somewhere either out of the country/lost in the muggle or wizarding world? |
Griffin Raven chapter 1 . 6/23/2011 I'm going to guess that despite the Dursleys never sending young Harry to school, that he taught himself/or helpful individual did at the libraries he frequented? The magic that has been using to keep himself safe from being picked up by the police, doesn't sound like normal accidental magic...and the most recent attempt at the end of this first chapter definitely sounds like deliberate wandless intentional magic. Also Harry undoubtably "apparated" a significant distance to hogwarts (though I've not yet read chapter 2)...which I'd think would suggest he has a significantly larger than magical core than other 11yr olds? Although the size of Harry's magical core, could be due to it being forced to become active; (a) at 15mths old in order to save his life during Voldemort's attack; (b) then his magical core having to work overtime to keep him alive when Dursleys starved him & then stopped feeding him! |
Vicki219 chapter 7 . 6/20/2011 Brilliant story so far! Please update more soon |

Griffin Raven chapter 7 . 12/14/2009 I can't help wondering what level of education Harry has had exactly? I mean if he's lived on the streets since he was abandoned when he was 8yrs - shouldn't he be a bit behind academically? Even if he's learning primarily magical subjects at hogwarts. Harry seems to have a great aptitude for potions, and the ability to do wandless/wordless magic. He has also apparated (without learning how) into hogwarts through the wards. Harry is also somehow able to appear and interact with his godfather Sirius Black in Azkaban when Harry sleeps - could this be astreal projection or some sort of dream skill? |
Griffin Raven chapter 2 . 12/14/2009 Wow, I am hooked just on the beginning of this story! You've just got love not only young Harry's timeing but the true sense of both drama and desperation for both Harry and wizarding world just by his appearance. I can't wait to see exactly how young Harry will handle school due to his lack of a proper education and the fact that he's in another world! |
NamioftheSea chapter 7 . 12/4/2009 Malfoy is such a jerk. I can't wait to see his face when he finds out that Harry got on the Quidditch team o |
