crackdmoon chapter 1 . 8/29/2014 So... wha? |
CosmicEssence chapter 1 . 7/6/2010 ouch a dark Obi-wan..well his face anyway...thats bad. his return and their conversation as well as what happened that he disappeared without trace of body or link was a bit confusing but the sheer intensity of events and emotion overpowered that confusion. So he died? then what, the Sith brought him back? Please explain. Felt really quite pitying of Qui considering he's desperately trying to hang on to something he lost years ago but not wanting to let go at all even though the obvious Sith evidence is there. But its almost like Obi was giving him something (those smiles) to apologise and take with him. It seemed like he was resigned to his new birth simply in that he felt he couldnt go back, couldnt be obi-wan kenobi again and for that to be so his link to that name had to go (i.e. his master Jinn). Plus he turned away from Jinn's corpse, almost in regret? But this part/line whatever was an absolute favourite! "Obi-Wan's fingers hovered an inch from Qui-Gon's face. "You were right about one thing. This is my trial. I've been promised a name upon its completion. I was the trial of my Master. And you're mine." His hand fell. "But the task is the same." He took a step backward. "To become a Sith, fully and truly, you must kill a Jedi." (it includes the part where Qui-gon entreates to him and attempts to convince himself to the point of 'the no weapons sentence'.) I dunno that little bit above was just so filled with final determination, power and foreboding that it made me grin and shiver. One thing though "I was the trial of my Master"? is this supposed to be written as it is? I mean it makes no sense! Do u perhaps mean 'it was the trial of my master' and i.e. his new master's trial for him? much as Maul's trial was maybe? sooo what would u call him now then? any idea. ...story. depressing, confusing and disappointfully hopeful...smashing! :D P.S. i know this reviews rather crap but honestly? I'm not sure how to put what i got from this fic into words. |
Barranca chapter 1 . 6/3/2007 I really liked this, for all the imagery and polarity and duplicity. Feelings can fail the Jedi just like they do the Sith. |
TinTin chapter 1 . 2/19/2005 Mezmorizing characterizations. Very enjoyable reading experience. |
Ivy chapter 1 . 12/18/2004 Very dark with flowing descriptions and intense emotions. Could do with a lighter ending, but it works well. |
13Stepup chapter 1 . 11/9/2004 bloody great! |

Athena Leigh chapter 1 . 10/11/2004 Wow, what a story. I love the description at the beginning of Qui-Gon in the snow. It seems so fitting for him, particularly in this situation of course, and I love how you related his pain and misery. So poignant, especially when he sees Obi-Wan again. You do the most perfect Obi-Wan, so subtle, so detailed, so deep. I love the way Obi-Wan tried to resist, and then the way Qui-Gon tried to get him back. Of course, I loved the last line too. Yes, basically, I loved it all, but that's no surprise. Overall, it was very sad and magnificently written. Just so you know, the site doesn't like your dividers, so there aren't any. Infuriating, isn't it? ;) *hugs LE* Wonderful story. Actually, I think I'm going to cry now thinking about how Obi-Wan gave Qui-Gon his peace. "And he could see the sun." Gah! I love your stories! I'll stop gushing now. :) |
