I read the prequal to this story a while ago and loved it. A couple of days ago I decided I wanted to read it again and discoverd their was a sequal. I didn't think it was possible for this story to be better then its predosesser but I was wrong. This story was simply wonderful. The voice you give these characters is so true to the originals. I couldn't stop reading. You broke my heart everytime Sams was broken I love his character so much. I loved the epilogue. The retelling of Fael's birth was sweet, funny, and so full of love. You are a wonderful writer and I'm adding it to my favorites so its readily available to read again and also in hopes a few people might see it there and give it a try. You are sooooooo talented. Thanks for sharing this story and your talent with us.

I'm so so sooo glad you warned me not to miss out on this! I might never have thought to check your bio for more if I hadn't, though I did re-read Many Aspects earlier, because I've just seen the Hobbit today and I have a new love and respect for dear Bilbo. (: I think after having just seen the movie, I enjoyed your work that much more.

More of Merry and Pippin! I absolutely loved their characters here, and the few steps we saw them take towards something closer than what they were. Pippin was a precious thing this whole series long and Merry was relentlessly looking after him every minute of the way. They'll have a story of their own to tell someday.

Even Legolas and Gimli made an appearance! I love all of Fael's uncles, his whole entire wonderful amazing extended family. I hope the Travelers' get visits upon visits, and I can't wait- even though this story's finished- for Fael to take that first trip to Rivendell. The elves will be so happy to see him! It's a pity Elrond won't get to see him, unless he didn't sail away with Bilbo and Gandalf in your version?

One of the moments that leaped out at me was when Sam told his Gaffer about all the different homes they had in the world these days. And it's true! Rivendell would welcome them with open arms, and Gondor's king himself would treasure them in his court. And I'm sure Uncle Aragorn will be getting a visit very soon, if he has anything to say about it.

I'm ecstatic to have read this, and I'm so sorry to see this wonderful little world go. You're a marvel, Gillian. (:

Loved it but wished frodo would be able to bear more babes and be happy from start this time with being pregnant and would rather him being called the mother for thats what he was he carried him and loved and nurtured him and breastfeed or not in my mind thats a mother even if not a female. But still a grate story thanks keep writing.

I loved this story so much! It's just so sweet. And unusual, as I don't normally like mpreg stories that much. But you approached the pregnancy and aftermath in a very sensitive manner, which greatly paid off. Thank you!

I'm going to go check if you've done a story for Pippin and Merry. I'd love to see one carrying on from this for them...
