I'm glad Isindil brought some reality back into the story.

I find it a bit hard to picture a noble princess so openly confessing her love to someone who obviously does not love her. It seems imprudent and not in line with courtly manners

This came out of the blue. I do hope Eomer starts to appreciate Lothiriel too. Sulky young ladies are not always fun

It seems contradictory that Lothiriel would never want to leave home and then talk about wanting to fight in the war

I like the premise of the story, it feels like there could be so much more in the story. The ways in which Lothiriel was rude and how worried she was afterwards of Eomer's opinion of her could be fleshed out more.

I have to agree with Lothiriel's own assesment: she comes off as very childish

I was watching Two Towers the other night, and i really wanted to read a romance about Eomer (between you and me, he is a bit of a spunk in the movies :P). Anywhoosies, off to bed with me. It would take MUCH MUCH MUCH longer than a few days to reach Emyn Arnen from Dol Amroth, probably a few weeks with such a large company. Good chapter, though!

Its an okay chapter. The storyline(though quite overused by this time) is good and you do not stray THAT far from canon.

"Since then, time had seemed to flash by in a blur, and it had been too hard to try to keep track. And so everything had gone by in a whirl, and now here he was, the King of Rohan." Flash by in a blur and everything had gone by in a whirl. Try to stay away from stating the same things more than once. Though you said it in different ways, those two sentences could be combined some way.

A lovely ending and surprsing that you would take this approach to end it in this way, so subtle. Anyway, I think you really did portray the manners and habits and speech of the people in that age really well, and definitely the mellowing of Lothiriel through her treatment of others and her speech. Seriously, the way she mellowed and matured was done beautifully. I loved it, and was very touched. I think this is a lovely piece of work. Frankly speaking, I feel that all your characters are really sweet, so sweet I don't like them. Get what I mean? BEcause they seem a little flat, like cardboard and all sugar but no hint of bitterness or spice. But I really like Lothiriel at the end. Shouldn't Elboron get to know of this? And Elfwine sounds absolutely charming and handsome. A truly awesome ending to a lovely piece of work.

Since Eomer's from Rohan, he should be more of a superb horseman, and in the movie, I think Faramir was the better fighter. Yet, we all know Faramir is no born swordsman, and in fact he doesn't like combat, so... perhaps Eomer's better.

I am only in the middle of your story and I just HAD to write and tell you how wonderful a writer you are!

You have seemlessly woven Tolkien's characters into a story we never heard-the marraige of Eomer. You use of his language is excellent and you imagery beautiful.

You've captured the essence of the characters so accurately, I think Tolkein would be proud.

I only hope I can be as accurate in my Lord of the Rings story I'm about to start.

I love your depiction of Lothiriel-as we do not know much about her from the novel.
