I think this story got a lot better after it got past the dark and disturbing, Which also completely different from the other story you've written that I've read (though being completely different is a good thing for a writer to be able to do, it is disconcerting for a reader). But at this point it has been pretty good.

So it seems you agree he ought to have been getting the promotion to captain. :)

Cool premise- though coming to this from the perspective of having read a lot of Xander centric ficx over the last two weeks I feel like by his late 20s he ought to have already gotten at least the promotion to captain. Not that it is an important detail, at all... And it really is a very cool premise. Oh, and the story where Buffy is Daniel's daughter is really, really, really funny when everything comes together.
