Flyingshadow451 chapter 1 . 11/11/2014 I am awed by this new perspective of this story. This was really down to earth and to put simply, I love it. |

Miss Dusk chapter 1 . 5/6/2006 Aww! That is so sad. This is a very good story. I love the Tin Woodsman. I hope you continue this! |
DianeB chapter 1 . 11/13/2005 Whew, that was unsettling - and I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way. I haven't read the Oz books, and since your story obviously strayed from the movie's ending, I had to get over that difference first, but once I did and got more into the guys' regrets and Dorothy's guilt, it was, as Nakay put it, "oddly beautiful and haunting." And it *really* drove home the obvious. A request to be "real" would have provided a heart, courage, and brains all in one go. So, you know, wow. I may never be able to watch the movie again without thinking about this. |
Aboshi chapter 1 . 10/30/2005 Oh, gosh, that story was the pure magic. I've been a very intensive Oz fan from some time now and though I enjoy pairing Dot with Scarecrow, Tinman gives so many possibilities. I enjoyed reading the story greatly, it was wonderfully written, the emotions were not truly clear which gave the story even more charm. The idea of poor little Dot feeling guilty for killing the witch, Tinman and Scarecrow not being so sure anymore about their wish - wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. I'd deffinetely love to read a little book like that :) Much love for you, for writing that little story. |
screaming-poetically chapter 1 . 10/26/2005 /adds story to my favorites list. |
screamingpoetically chapter 1 . 10/26/2005 This story was amazing. I found it absolutely enchanting, and being a Dorothy/Tin Man shipper myself, I loved it. You should write more. |
Dark Lady of the Night chapter 1 . 8/19/2005 Pleasing, bittersweet. I like the perspective that you have presented to the Fans of the genre. I have adored the characters of OZ since I was a little girl. The Magic is always there no matter what you do and where you go. But often we get too carried away in the magic and forget that even the most happiest of creatures can regret, can wish to change things. Believable and I admire you for posting something that you figured some people would hate. I had often wanted to write a wizard of oz Fanfic but I have no idea of how I would write that. A hard genre to write for I think I should read the books first having only seen the movies. Good Job! |
Erik'sOneandOnly chapter 1 . 5/21/2005 "He glares at me, disgusted." Gees! what the heck did you do to the scarecrow? Man. |
Otto's Goat chapter 1 . 2/8/2005 Quite different from the original innocent story, but lovely in a bittersweet way. What's fanfiction without an elegant twist? Well done. |
Dark Gotham chapter 1 . 1/2/2005 Oh my goodness! This story is just awesome. One of the better written pieces I have found on this site. I came into this section out of curiosity and I am glade that I did. You wrote the characters with a degree of darkness that I just adore. I love this being from the point of view of the Tin Man and how you write the Scarecrow as a child all most. Very creative and unique. |
funeralflowers chapter 1 . 10/30/2004 That was a beautiful piece of literature. Some of the best I've read, fan-fiction or not. You accurately stated how we sometimes forget to make crucial descisions when faced with joy and hopefulness. Tre magnifique! |
