qwertyuiop678 chapter 2 . 8/18/2011 nice... pretty good... though personally i like a bit more excitement... a nice little thoughtful fic will be good too... why is there an excess of periods in my reviews? *offers cookie* |
ohfuckthis chapter 1 . 6/27/2007 YES! YES! JACK LOVES THE PEARL! |
OutlawJacksBonnyLass chapter 2 . 1/17/2005 Alright, that was ABSOLUTELY breathtaking! My goodness... I have no idea what else to say about these two lovely, lovely chapters. I'm truly staggered. Thank you for brightening my day! |
BlackJackSilver chapter 1 . 8/1/2004 This is beautiful! Very poetic prose style you have there. I completely agree that none but the sea herself can compete with the Pearl for Jack's affections. Perhaps they are but two sides of the same woman, for Jack. I like the second part as well- but I loved this one. |
FalconWing chapter 2 . 5/20/2004 I love the way it goes through time and how their relationship altered before the end and it's great the way you may it so that the last words were "I do" and it just gives that little bit more impact you get with well-worded sentences and well-phrased paragraphs. FalconWing. |
FalconWing chapter 1 . 5/20/2004 This is great. Brilliant use of language features and devices to get the desired effect of beautiful imagery. I just loved it. FalconWing. |
Araeph chapter 1 . 5/3/2004 ACK! In response to a "fill in the plothole" challenge on the PPC message board, I also wrote a Jack/Black Pearl ficlet. I feel so unoriginal now. Especially since yours is the better of the two. Jack Sparrow's one, true love is most definitely the Black Pearl. There’s no question of that. Unfortunately, much of my focus nowadays is on certain lovely young maidens who seem to think that the Pearl's place in Jack's heart should be usurped to make way for *their* paltry affections. I can’t thank you enough for this fic. The amount of repetition in the first section is a bit too much for my taste...a little of that is just what's needed to put the sentiment into this piece, but too much can be tiring. I appreciated Will's section as well; it's just that Jack's love for the Pearl is so often overlooked in fanfiction that the first part was especially welcome. Another great story, as always. Cm chapter 2 . 4/29/2004 These were beautiful...all I have to say for the Will chapter is 'Aww!' perfect characterization, great job. |
balrogthane chapter 2 . 3/29/2004 Very nice! I like being able to read serious PotC fiction, rather than some girl's fool crush on Jack or Will or both... -(- - - |
Miran Anders chapter 2 . 3/19/2004 Beautiful! Touching, elegant, and both quite accurate, in my mind. Thanks! -Miran |
Darwin chapter 2 . 3/12/2004 You have done it yet again! This is a beautiful telling of the hearts of our two favorite heroes. I will agree with your other reviewer...thank you for not pairing Jack with anyone...save his ship! He was not meant for such sundries...not meant for the hearth and the home, the wife and the kids. For him only the wind and the sea and that elusive horizon and all that it holds! I bow to you! Well done! Darwin |
Shyaway chapter 2 . 3/9/2004 Just lovely. Such insightful looks at the two grand passions in POTC. Beautiful writing, excellent characterisation. If I have one quibble, and it is *very* nitpicky, it's in Lady being capitalised, because Elizabeth doesn't have that title. Other than that - perfect. |
Maea chapter 2 . 2/19/2004 as always, you've done a fantastic job with these two stories. I love how you can reference the movie without blatently pointing out to the the reader that you're doing it. You have great flow, a fantastic voice, and are one of my favourite authors. Thanks for sharing your imagination with us. |
IdentityCrisis chapter 2 . 2/15/2004 Excellent! I love that you won't lower yourself to pairing Jack off. I hate when people try to do that. It just doesn't work. Awesome job, keep up the good work! |
Indigo Phoenix chapter 2 . 2/13/2004 Wow. That was just amazing. I can't think of any words to do it justice. You're a wonderful writer! -Indigo |
