Author has written 33 stories for Pirates of the Caribbean, Monkey Island, Misc. Games, Lost, and Sweeney Todd. Icon from http:///index.php. keeps on stripping more and more punctuation from its site, so if you'd like to read my fic with the formatting intact, it's archived here: http:///wallflowering/. For fic recs - general Sweeney Todd and PotC Jack/Pearl - please check out my C2 communities. A hopefully helpful note to Sweeney Todd writers: 'Mum', as well as being a derivative of 'mother', was a common pronunciation of 'ma'am' in the nineteenth century, so when Toby calls Mrs Lovett 'mum', he isn't necessarily referring to her as his mother, nor would she think there was anything odd about his pronunciation; it's just a respectful way of addressing a woman. (For an example, see Charles Dickens' Dombey and Son: http:///etexts/1331/17969/.) Yes, Toby probably does think of her as his mother, but that he calls her 'mum' doesn't mean anything one way or the other! |
