| Reviews for Zoey Gives As Good As She Gets |

Guest chapter 1 . 9/26/2009 didn't like this one...too harsh. Zoey would never have done this and Abbey wouldn't have stood for it. I love your other stories though. |
Dreamscapes Symphonic chapter 1 . 12/5/2003 slightly out of character but you're right, she is going to snap eventually. who's narrating? you might've said it in there somewhere but i didn't catch it. |
amy jonas chapter 1 . 12/2/2003 Wow! This was very powerful. Poor Zoey was under a terrific amount of stress and I could really see this happening. sure, this was a very public place for it to happen but I don't think Zoey picked this moment. She was overloaded and she was due to crack. I also loved the last sentence. "And my father doesn't play the President. He is the President." Perfect. Amy Amy |
Regency chapter 1 . 11/29/2003 Hey, yeah, Jed probably wouldn't like it, but that doesn't mean she wouldn't do it. She didn't exactly consult her father before she lost her temper. Abbey is basically stunned that her daughter would speak to her like that(in public or in private) and under normal circumstances, she wouldn't. But these aren't normal circumstances, are they? If you want Abbey to give back as good as she got or Jed for that matter, tell me and I will. It's all on you. Anjuwy, thank you for bringing this to my attention, but... And I say this with all due respect: Abbey didn't have to give up anything. She could have left. I know that's not practical for anyone, but if the sacrifice was really going to hurt her as much as it has, she did not have to be there to make it. I'm not going into that further, because this is not a message board, but you already know I'm more likely to side with Jed than Abbey and that's all there is to it. Enjoy my other stories as well. |
Anjuwy chapter 1 . 11/29/2003 This piece was very powerful and moving... The writing is exceptional... However...I have to express my feelings about the POV...I don't think Abbey deserved such a "beating" and publicly... She has given up just about everything so that Jed could get his "job"...she worries about him...but gets no consideration in return... Abbey was a terrified mother who could do nothing to help her daughter...Jed had an outlet but she didn't...she had to lash out and he was the most available... She took Zoey to NH to try and help her heal and try and protect her the best she could... Abbey always seems to be demonized and no one seems to want to see the sacrifices she has made for Jed...I just think the verbal beating from Zoey is unwarranted without Abbey's POV... and I don't think Jed would approve of or be proud of his daughter for speaking to her mother in that way...especially in a public setting...he wouldn't want defense from Zoey at the cost of his wife...I can't see him tolerating any of his children speaking to their mother that way, him maybe but not her...
