Whooooaaaaa...That was simply fantastic!

I'm always envious of people who can capture Cordelia's character so well. I suppose I am one of those "culturally subnormal" (that part made me laugh out loud, btw) people who get maybe half her references, so it's hard for me as a writer to channel her. You did a fabulous job!

Also, literary-wise, this piece was solid, engaging, and neatly tied together. I loved the door theme throughout, and it made the last line *powerful*. I also loved (LOVED) Dennis's thoughts at the end. It really brought the whole story together, gave it a profound point (instead of just being some nice little scenes between the three of them).

That right there was a reminder why I loved the early seasons of Angel so much. You wrote them perfectly, so much so that I could literally hear their voices in my head as I was reading. I always felt so sorry for Wesley, and it was nice to see Angel & Cordelia fussing over him. I liked too the way you had Cordelia difuse the awkward moment when she'd revealed his scars..

There were some real laugh out loud moments but this I think was my favourite:

"You might be dead, Angel, but you’re not blind! And I know you have some kind of dress sense.’ She flapped her hand vaguely at the vampire’s monochromatic attire.

‘Black, Cordy. Everything - uh – goes with black.’ It was a weak attempt at defence. ‘I just picked out stuff I’ve seen you wear…’

‘Never at the same time!’ She rolled her eyes in frustration. ‘It’s not like you’re Mr. Fashion Retard here.’

That was beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. Brilliant characterization to the point where I could actually see and hear them. I love the 'The door opens' bit and Dennis finally closing the door at the end.

Aww! :-D Even though I much prefer S4 Wes, this fic made me all nostalgic for the "good ol' days," when things were a little lighter, sweeter, more tender. More friendshipy. *squeals* Aw! Your characterizations were spot on. *sigh* I miss Cordy!

Excellent! A deeply moving account on the lives of Angel, Cordelia, and Wesley (and Dennis) post Season 1. I love how you captured their relationship so defined and precise with the context of the story. Superb characterization; Angel's acceptance of his family, Cordelia's humor and magnanimous personality, and Wesely's hidden depts and dark past were all wonderfully written.

This story is a rare gem in the midst of all the other fiction in FFN. Keep on writing!

I absolutely adored this fic! Lovely writing, all the characterisations were bang on target. Also loved the little glimpses we got of Wesley's past; enough to suggest that we really don't want to go prying too deeply into his history.

Cordelia was really terrific. You really got her old mix of acid-sharp sarcasm and genuine concern perfectly.

And of course, getting into the mind of a ghost for a few paragraphs was just priceless. I miss Dennis and it's nice to see him back for a little while.
