Yay! I get to see a version of Monoma who potentially won't be as much of a little sh*t! I've been wanting to see people play around with his character and quirk for ages, but they almost always dump him in the trash pile and never develop him. I look forward to what you'll do with him!

(Gets to the part talking about item carry and launchers.) O.o Suddenly I'm imagining Izumi with a small wrist mounted BB-type Gun where she fires of a 'pellet', and immediately starts chasing it with her hand cupped around but not touching it, so that she's basically going at bullet speed... Either that or something involving floating magnets where her gloves are one polarity and a metal ball is the other, so there's a theoretic possibility (if I've gotten the mechanics of Drift right) she could pull herself in the direction magnetic ball indefinitely as it'd be constantly repelled by the reverse polarity in her glove... Sorry nerded out a bit there. Although... It probably be more viable if it was a largely transparent sphere utilising electromagnetic levitation with the magnet ball visible within that she held... Geh, sorry again.

This chapter was excellent! I love how bits of Nana sine through in Izumi.
I got thinking, and I wonder what would happen if Izumi got OFA, and was able to access float, I imagine here quirk would basically be flight then.
It would probably be the first quirk she unlocks, considering Nana is related to Izumi, and this would give her a slight grace period to realize that she was going to acquire more quirks.
Have you seen Izuku and Bakugou vs. Nine? Apparently Izuku uses float at one point. It’s when he lifts a few inches off the ground, but there are these sweet lightning trails going from his feet to the ground.
Thank you for the response to my review! If she gets some sort of arm mounted launcher she could use bouncy balls as projectiles. She could even do a cool finger gun pose.

A well done chapter. It was amusing to read how Itsuka and Izumi interacted with one another as best friends. It would seem the two have quite the dynamic when joking with one another and it was enjoyable to read. The first meeting with Yanagi was well done as well as Izumi establishing another friendship before heading home and going to UA. Nicely done with their interaction with one another as Izumi also tries to understand what Yanagi would say at times. Now it is time for them to enter UA and can't wait to see how this will all go. As for One For All, would you want it to go to Mirio or a first year in the Heroics Class? Thank you. Keep up the good work.

Loving the take on Izumi having a semblance of Nana's quirk, especially with Gran Torino being in the picture, it's pretty cool to see. Can't wait to see what being in 1B will be like

I’m really excited for this story! It’s awesome to see this concept written out. I also looked up the Kendou One for All thing, and wow! Aizawa Might is really weird to look at.
I thought of another way that Izumi could utilize her quirkfor mobility. You said it was like a grappling hook that didn’t affect the object. So it got me thinking, what if Izumi had some sort of pellet launcher, or has some throwable objects, she could launch them in the air, or ahead of herself and pull herself to the pellet and either catch it and rethrow/launch it, or throw and launch another one. For even more controlled flight.
These are my thoughts, feel free to use them.

Great chapter! Some nice interaction between characters and a good introduction to Yanagi as well. Hmm, when thinking about parings meh I'll throw this into the ring. Maybe I haven't read the right stories but I don't often (if ever) see Itsuka being the ultimate flirty wingwoman for Izuku/Izumi in getting them a bf/gf, so that could be cool especially with them being childhood friends here... Though that could also be personal fatigue from wacthing/reading too many childhood friends eventual lover stories that's having me wearing blinkers when it comes to that particular storyline at the moment.

A well done story. Quite the interesting concept of Izumi being the great granddaughter of Nana Shimura and having a variant of her quirk. It was amusing to read the reaction from Gran Torino as he meets her for the first time and how she introduces herself to him. It was a bit sad as he recalls the past a bit with Nana and seeing her in Izumi with the personality and spirit of heroism. Nicely done with explaining how Izumi improved and trained her quirk when she went to race with it. A good explanation of what happened to her and how she continued to show up to make sure her quirk would be ready. I have a feeling she will be quite the adrenaline junkie as the story continues. For pairings, it would be interesting to see Reiko as there aren't that many stories with Izuku or Izumi with her. Thank you. Keep up the good work.

you know what her quirk reminds me of? 3d maneuver gear from attack on titan. you've absolutely blown my mind. it's a perfect example of the kind of quirk you'd expect in my hero and you also gave it that creative spin that a lot of less powerful quirks need for pro hero work like mirio's quirk. I'm really excited to see where this goes next.

reiko is a good choise but give izumu OFA. she need a strong punch to goes with the flying quirk (also she will be able to talk with her aunt in her head)
