Maybe I'm getting the wrong idea from this but it kind of shows that his distance and possible his relationship with Star is really hurting him; granted I thought it was sort of hurting him in a way during the show but not to this extent. We all know what's going to happen but this doesn't make it any easier knowing how we get there.

Great work. Still a great way to fill in that gap of the inevitable break up between Tom and Star.

I like Tom as a character, at least, the Tom we got in S3-4, and this story makes me root for him even more. I'm glad he's at least getting fulfillment out of the trip, although that last bit about Star & Marco at the arcade really made my temper flare a bit. Makes me irrationally question why Tom put up with that for so long when apparently she was the only one in the multiverse who didn't realize she wanted to be with Marco lol.
Anyways can't wait for what's next :D

Great chapter. I once forgot that Tom is still a powerful demon mostly due to him being faced against stronger foes in the show like meteora and mina. Though now I really feel bad for him that Star didn't go with him to the trip even though at the time of the episode I was also happy that she didn't go with him. That's just my personal opinion

This was a great update! The dimension was creative and the scrape Tom got into was both genuinely heartwarming and a subtle demonstration of his grown character. And the way he earned that necklace was a great piece of backstory.

I'll echo a bit on what Ghostwriter already said: TomStar was such an odd pairing, especially the second time, but the execution wasn't great. I agree with most that Star was somewhat of a neglectful girlfriend to him, and frankly the show needed to call her out a lot more than it did. BUT it wasn't like she was blowing him off for no good reason either. There's a lot of unspoken stuff there that I wish it had gone further in exploring.

As for the trip itself, I'm excited to see the places you send Tom to and the emotional journey he goes through that ultimately leads him to dump Star. One of the things that really itched at my brain because the way they tried to handwave it in the series was honestly laughable XD

As someone who never shiped Star and Tom, I can easily say I felt bad for him and thought Star became a neglectful girlfriend to Tom, who was trying to be better and I could see it. The main reason I never wanted them to be together was due to it being something that alreayd happened in the past; not beacuse I was all for Starco.

Might I suggest a dimension similar to the Boiling Isles of “The Owl House”? Maybe not THE Boiling Isles, but a city built on a massive corpse with nods to the show? I feel that would be very macabre and “Tom-like”.

A heck of an interesting premise. I've come to realize that the more of these kinds of stories I see - the ones that explore various "missing parts of time" in the timeline during the final seasons - the more annoyed at the show I get, cuz it really feels like a crapton of content was crammed into Season 4 for whatever reason.

All this to say I'm looking forward to this story.

Given that there is a lot of info missing in the final episodes of SVTFOE, this is a welcomed story. I'll see where it goes given I'm doing SVTFOE content too.
