Thank you for taking us on another fabulous 'journey' with Kate and Rick.

I have to admit that I was beginning to think that they would never get together because it appeared that Rick couldn't or wouldn't commit.

What bothered me was that while Kate was in California, Rick finally admitted he still loved her but didn't do anyyhing about it.

For the next year they continued to live in different cities, not seeing each other except for a visit to the Hampton's where they still weren't intimate, and not because Kate didn't want to be.

That was despite the fact that Rick had no difficulty being intimate with Marcy. Not only that, Marcy mentioned that Rick was horny even in the hospital.

Yet he wouldn't take that step with Kate even though she wanted to. Not even the fact that Rick had pursued a romantic relationship with Kate for 2 or 3 (?) years, which definitely would have included a sexual component, made a difference.

So it was a big relief to me that Rick finally overcame whatever was keeping him from committing to Kate and they had their happy ending.

I know some folks view it as shallow, but I like happy Caskett endings, so this story is special for me. What a struggle Kate and Rick went through. Especially interested in dialog between these two about feelings, a category that was mostly not present in the canon. You did really good - thanks.

Apparently Castle has forgotten that Beckett lived with an alcoholic Father for several years.
Alcoholics are not exactly easy to live with. They have nightmares, get sick, have the DTs.
I kept waiting for something bad to happen.

A good start on clearing the past baggage and laying foundation for future growth and happiness. Just like Kate, I can't shake the haunting feeling, "BUT". Hope you find a way to make this work for a Caskett happy ending.

If I were Kate, I would be done with Lanie as my 'best friend' after that discussion.

As for Rick and Lanie as a couple, which I can't see happening anyway, I can see them as friends with benefits, if he doesn't end up with Kate or Marcy, but I don't see them as being compatible otherwise.

Everyone, including Marcy has to has said to Rick that he loves Kate.

I know he's still in pain from Kate's actions and I don't blame him for taking time for himself to figure out what he wants.

But being a Caskett fan, I have to say how sad I feel that Rick has begun sleeping with Marcy, and from what he said to her, he also loves her.

Come to think of it, starting whatever this is between them conflicts with Rick taking time to figure out what he really wants.

I'm confused about something. Jordan asked Kate if she ever asked Rick how he met Jordan. As far as anyone knew, Jordan and her team from the FBI were there to work on a case. Neither Jordan nor Rick acknowledged that they knew each other. So why would Kate ask how they met?

Then when Jordan tells Kate that she and Rick dated for 3 years, and Kate asked why didn't she know about it, Jordan said that it wasn't Kate's business.

So which is it, should Kate know about Rick's history with Jordan, because if she really cared about him she would have asked (because people always ask if you dated each other in grade 8), or should Kate not have asked questions she knew nothing about?
