Everyone, including Marcy has to has said to Rick that he loves Kate.

I know he's still in pain from Kate's actions and I don't blame him for taking time for himself to figure out what he wants.

But being a Caskett fan, I have to say how sad I feel that Rick has begun sleeping with Marcy, and from what he said to her, he also loves her.

Come to think of it, starting whatever this is between them conflicts with Rick taking time to figure out what he really wants.

I'm confused about something. Jordan asked Kate if she ever asked Rick how he met Jordan. As far as anyone knew, Jordan and her team from the FBI were there to work on a case. Neither Jordan nor Rick acknowledged that they knew each other. So why would Kate ask how they met?

Then when Jordan tells Kate that she and Rick dated for 3 years, and Kate asked why didn't she know about it, Jordan said that it wasn't Kate's business.

So which is it, should Kate know about Rick's history with Jordan, because if she really cared about him she would have asked (because people always ask if you dated each other in grade 8), or should Kate not have asked questions she knew nothing about?

I like how your writing Rick and Kate.

Been a long journey and seems now is the most scary moment. Hope Rick has the courage to wear big boy pants. In ways, his character has disappointed me, and he's my favorite character. This story is another testament to how elusive true love can be. Hope Caskett can make it happen.

A salt water pool with wave action sounds like it would be a lot of fun. Great exercise and you could practice suffering or paddle boarding.
Rick needs to come to the realization that we all have baggage and no one is perfect. That if you love someone you are willing to let them help you carry that bag.

If I were Kate i'm not sure that I'd be that afraid. It seems that she will be seeing him and maybe they can get it right this time. Good chapter thanks for sharing this with us! :)

Thx for prompt updates. Hanging in and waiting for a 'stuck' Rick to do something about his feelings for Beckett. Hope he doesn't wait too long, similar to what she did years ago. If you choose to participate in the game of love, there will be periods of pain and heartache. Hope he can find a way to accept her back into his life again and be the same romantic jackass he was with her long ago.

Love can be tough and put us in what seems impossible dilemma. You have done a great job of portraying the sadness and hurt of this situation. But, Caskett is a special couple and I can enjoy their having a live together in many different AU. You have already given us a spoiler that Marcy has a good outcome finding the right ole flame. Everyone has flaws and these come back to inflict grief, sometimes frequently. Maybe the characters have learned and are equipped for a brighter future.

Still can't quite figure this one out. The flashbacks are now about a year ago. And yet in the present. Rick does not appear to be happy nor settled. Looking forward to your explain of his fate in the coming chapters.
