This chapter was amazing. I cried a little bit, it was so raw and you could really feel what Jay was going through. Glad that he leant on Erin

Regardless of what you think, I really liked how this chapter turned out. Though I was a little surprised that Jay opened up to Erin about his mom as much as he did immediately following his therapy session, I thought that it really worked and the way in which he opened up to her was very true to his character and I loved how Erin listened and reacted to what he said. I’m
So glad that she is with him to offer him comfort and a shoulder to lean on so he doesn’t have to fight his personal battles alone. Another great chapter! Can’t wait for the next one!
Claudia chapter 7 . 9/2
As usual, another great chapter! I’m so glad he opened up to Erin and especially about such a hard topic. And I’m glad she didn’t let him “walk away” even if it was just to the other room.

Can’t wait to read more!

i literally had to read this chapter twice because once just wasn't enough. my mind is trying to process all the feels rn. the way jay let erin in like that, i wasn't prepared! my heart is so broken for what he's been through ugh. and then throwing in a that's why you have back up? i'll let you know when my heart recovers. i really love how supportive erin is and that jay is finally properly allowing her to be. i also loved the little moment of mentioning erin being jealous over seeing him and ally that morning, that was cute! also, erin not being able to sleep without himi'm soft af rn thanks! really enjoyed this chapter!

Great chapter! Ugh. Ya had me bawling when Jay was talking about what his mom said to him. Poor Jay! I’m glad he is opening up but man, that’s gotta be painful! Well done!

Wow, what a heartbreaking story about his Mom‘s last days! I‘m so glad he opened up to Erin though. You have a great way of creating those emotional moments!

Absaloutley loved it, so emotinal and raw. You never see this side of Jay in many other story, and you write it so well. I love the trust and connection between Erin and Jay, makes us dream haha. Im excited to see where you take this, maybe another pot hole ; Would wonder how he would cope if something happened to Erin (just an idea) Living for your stories!

This fic is sooo good. So intense and angsty but really good. I was always so interested in Jay’s past and never felt satisfied at the show’s attempts to address it. You’re doing a great job both delving into his story and fixing what the show ruined in terms of Linstead.
It’s heartbreaking to read about Jay’s past, how he had so little time with his mom and was the only person to care for her in the end. No wonder he was pushed to the edge of his limits, coming back from war injured and traumatized only to witness his mother’s death right after. I’m proud of him for going to therapy and being so open with Erin. She’s doing a great job supporting him too. Very intense chapter that broke my heart but so well-written. Looking forward to reading more!
