I have to say thank you for rewriting this, the original had an interesting set up but not-great execution. But this! This is great! I love the world building and characters you are introducing, it makes this feel like a living and breathing world!

When I found out about this crossover, I was unimpressed. Knowing what Kuroinu was about, and having beat Bloodborne three times, I thought the idea itself wouldn't work. Lo and behold, I read it and was hooked from the start. The OCs, the inner monologue, the interactions, it's so good. I caught on quick and was sad to find where the story was left off. Just to discover this re-imagination. The quality of narrative is as strong if not stronger than before. The travels throught the Badlands is extremely entertaining, Boris and Fredrick are nice additions and I can't wait to see what you have ready for them in the future.

I do feel that the reader is required to know about the first iteration of the story. For example, the Hunter's name isn't given until he is knighted, while here is one of the first line you read. Grace's past isn't revealed until later on, same for Soren, who we meet as a thief and later we learn he was an orphan and the place where he grew up.

Recently I had a thought about having Lady Maria taking the place of Kyril. I know it's not possible, but the few crossovers I've read that include her, have done a fine job. She does have some character traits shared with Kyril (not surprising with the things they've experienced) but the commitment to the Hunt, her caring nature and the betrayal she suffered from the Church, could make a different impact in the plot.

Huh, Just like Soren, Grace was introduced earlier in the story. And instead of meeting her at Ansur, Kyril met her at Rad. While he is still far from Ken, at the very least he is in Alliance territory. I guess we'll have a massacre in the next chapter. Heh that's going to be fun.
