Lea chapter 1 . 6/15 Oh my word, the epilogue is amazing. I could picture each and everyone of the thoughts of Johnny and all this is helped by the fact that I also love the Barkleys. Although there were several episodes relating to Heath and what we many fans thought showed a blatant disregard to his feelings, I always thought that Victoria had a great relationship with Heath. There were many times they were both affectionate with each other as if her character knew that Heath was "wanting" so to speak due to the loss his mother. Again I saw this in this story particularly the end with Scott and I have to say that this story rates as number 1 with several others sharing that position. I cannot thank the writer enough for this story which came completely out the blue. I so hope there are more Lancer stories to come. Featuring my number one man of course, Scott! |
Lea chapter 1 . 6/12 For several days now I have been eagerly waiting to start this story. I was in the middle of another story when this one came to light as I mentioned in my earlier post. I started this story yesterday and when I am enjoying a story I take it extremely slowly as I don't want it to finish. This story exceeds my expectations and to then cross over with my second favourite tv series The Big Valley makes it all the more pleasurable. I am just at the stage where Scott has been out and about with Audra and can honestly say your descriptions of all the characters are absolutely spot on. Because of this, the story is all the more believable. Scott Lancer is my all time favourite character (Wayne Maunder being my number one idol and always has been). I also love Big Valley fiction but only when that involves my second favourite character Heath Barkley who I also absolutely adore. Strangely however much I love Heath Barkley, I can take or leave Lee Majors himself. I love the writer's subtle references such as Scott not being on time for cocktails to try and show he does not lust after alcohol and then him having the feel he was facing a military tribunal at dinner. So far I feel so sorry for Scott when one considers the situation at home which is all down to the wonderful writing talent of the author. I know now by the little I have read so far, this is one of my all time favourite stories. I so hope the writer will continue to write Lancer stories particularly where Scott features because for quite a lot of us Lancer lovers, there are far too few Scottcentric stories. Thank you so far for such an excellent story. |
Lea chapter 1 . 6/7 I skimmed over this story a few weeks ago when it was posted on another site and knew for certain it was my kind of story and fantastically written. At that time I had just started re-reading another epic and I am so excited that I had this story "in the wings" so to speak. I have nearly finished my other story and cannot wait to start this new and fresh story and will post my review when I have read the same. I cannot tell you how much of a spring in my step there is knowing I have this story to look forward to. Thank you to this new writer of Lancer. |
Salchat chapter 1 . 6/3 I don't know Lancer at all, but thought I'd read this after your Broca Divide fic. I was glad I did! You described the characters and their history really well, so that it was easy to get involved in the story. Very enjoyable and I would have been quite happy to carry on reading if you'd detailed all the intervening years between the main story and the epilogue! Thank you very much for a couple of hours of escapism. |
