Beautiful story. I loved how it flowed from the bit at the start and their back and forth and the team-ness of it all as well.

Then the bar and Mouse, I LOVE mouse but poor Jay AND poor Mouse of course too re Swanny. How Jay reacted felt very real as well as him not contacting Hailey.

Your description of Jay's flashback was really well done. Not too overplayed or overlong. V good.

I'm so glad Hailey was there for Jay and there by his side as soon as she could be and I loved how Jay relaxed almost immediately even if just a little bit. Then of course I adored the remainder, the confessions of love and their tenderness and I also appreciated that while they stayed together and fell asleep together, it was just that beautiful intimacy rather than anything more. Great story. Thank you for writing.
