I binged all eleven chapters and I loved it up until you gave him the trench coat. Dude. Just... dude. I’ll tentatively keep reading because I love the story so far, but bruh.

Thank you for the chapter. I very much enjoyed Ozpin's explanation for Jaune's aura behavior, particularly expressing Jaune's desire to defend Weiss's honor. Making clear the effect is not always predictable was also appreciated, as opposed to giving Jaune some other "magical power".

The description was not quite clear, but I'm assuming Jaune wears the coat under his armor.

Pyrrha you run around in battle wearing stiletto heels, you do not have a say in what is practical for battle.

I enjoy the style, but Jaune is having a full on schizo breakdown with how fast hes dashing between simp and chad.

No mention of Cardin getting punished for lying to professor Goodwitch about his reason for challenging Jaune? He gave up on keeping the facade up really quickly.

I do like that he defeated Cardin, I also like that Jaune had to work for it and nearly failed. It was a damn good fight.

I am not sure about Jaune adding Dust to Crocea Mors, him having such a simple weapon stood out. Yes I know that he added Dust to the shield in V7 but not the blade.

So Jaune is a rich boy who isn't like Weiss but still willing to spend some cash if it helps a situation.

Not every "everyman" are this cowardly and stupid. Just whenever anybody tries to write Jaune as one.

I honestly don’t know how I missed this story when it first came out. As far as White Knight stories go, this is definitely up there with the best of them. The fact that you’re giving reasonable, in-character reactions for everyone, not just for Weiss and Jaune, speaks well for the quality of this story.

I’m looking forward to Weiss' eventual reaction to Jaune's transcripts; just because Jaune knows that Ozpin is aware of the deceit doesn’t mean that Weiss wouldn’t have a thing or two to say about it. I’m also looking forward to Neptune's debut, and how it'll affect Jaune's and Weiss' dynamic. The scene at the dance where Neptune tells Weiss about what Jaune did is a classic jumping off point for White Knight stories that I wish more authors would use.

Anyway, I hope to see a new chapter soon! Keep it up!

Thank you for the chapter; I just found your story. I had trouble with the last chapter because of the girls making fun of Jaune for his dress up when he was little, as he was clearly very uncomfortable.

Other than that, the writing continues to improve with each chapter, and I did appreciate Jaune using his outside studies to help in class. The comment on Weiss not wanting Jaune to receive too much praise was also very nice.

That kind of attention from Yang would leave most normal, healthy, properly developing teenaged boys brain fried. Though I have certain doubts Jaune would appreciate the attention. Or at least, I do now after another tale I read three days ago pointed out Yang has a resemblance to all his sisters and his mother.

I said I like surprises. The way you changed up class interactions were highly enjoyable. Just enough to be fresh. Not enough to derail the classic RWBY story. Made sense within the new reality of this story, with Weiss pressuring Jaune to study as well as train.

Now I forget but I am pretty sure Jaune's team do not yet know about the fake transcripts. That revelation could give Cardin a lot of power to cut Jaune's team to the bone. But after training him for a week or two I think his teammates have already formed strong opinions on Jaune's potential, i.e. that he sucks, and whether he should be attending beacon or not. Real 50/50 on guessing if it would be an issue to his teammates or not. They would have every right to be plenty mad, but they are training him already so it becomes kind of a non-issue.

I rather suspect you have a new avenue of attack for Cardin in mind.

It looks interesting for now, the only thing that i saw and took me a bit out of the story was that characters sometimes speak too formally when they are amongst friends and not called Weiss xD, and they explain themselves a little bit too much.
