also hard same theres something about ushi's last stand that hits so poignantly, even more so than some of the harder stakes battles in the 2nd cour of the anime. it has the right emotional stakes, a breathtakingly long fight sakuga scene, and just the right amount of dialogue and bgm sfxes to get your heart pounding

honestly i have been chasing that high ever since throughout the anime's run and besides two other scenes that come similarly close nothing could capture that feeling. but somehow your fic has made me relieve that high all over again so thank you!
