Reviews for Total Drama - Return to Wawanakwa
dumas chapter 7 . 9/7
Sad to see Geoff go but at least he was in the finals of the Ridonculous Race.

DeliriousDisposition was right on target with the reviews. What I could add more? ; I don't know if your story in graved in the stone but for "Playa des losers", a suggestion then I thought it could be nice to have cameos of the cast members of Revenge of the Island and Pahkitew Island as the "Peanuts gallery" commenting about Return to Wawanakwa and who could vote off one of the original contestants.

Keep up your good work. :-)
DeliriousDisposition chapter 7 . 8/16
Okay, overall really liked the characters this chapter! As for the actual challenge, though, I can't say I was too much of a fan. Some of the fears didn't really seem like fears, but I'll admit, my initial thought as to how you might alter the challenge was to make it more along the lines of I Triple Dog Dare You now that I think about it, which wouldn't have worked since... that's also a challenge that needs to be done. Ah well, I usually live for the character interactions and strat plays in comp fics rather than the challenges - usually, anyway!

My favourite fear was probably Cody's because it was new, believable, and an actual fear. However, the one that most interested me was Trent's. I'm hoping it wasn't just a throwaway fear, and that there's actually something going on that explains that being the fear he got, but I suppose we'll need to wait and find out. I'm hoping there's relevance to it and something becomes of it, because I like little things like that that seem unimportant at the time, but turn out to kind of foreshadow a big piece of character/plot development!

I'm soo waiting for AleShawna to be outed, and now my girl Courtney's onto LeShawna, yaaas! I'm not the biggest LeShawna fan for this fic, so it would serve her right if Courtney found out about her affair with Alejandro and called her out, considering LeShawna's weird anti-Courtney vendetta she's got going on. Who's the true villain here, HMMMM?

Geoff's elimination was something I think most people would've been able to see coming for a few chapters now. It was clear he wasn't going to be one of the key players in the story, so his elimination makes sense. He's fun, and his "Long distance sucks" line was hands down my favourite line of the chapter, but it was for sure his time to go. He didn't overstay his welcome, and didn't leave too soon. Perfect!

Next to go... If Noah's alliance loses a member, I can see it being Cody, but I don't know how plot-wise that would work. If the alliance gets the upper hand, then I can see DJ or LeShawna going. DJ because he's one of the few irrelevant characters left, LeShawna because she's got a big storm comin' and Noah might piggy back off of it.

Orrr the Bass might be the next to give someone the boot! Justin, Bridgette, Trent, and Heather all seem way too plot relevant at the moment to be the next to go. You have some plans for Sadie so she could be round for at least another few chapters, which just leaves Tyler, Lindsay, and Harold. Harold's becoming more relevant with his allegiance to Heather, which kind of leaves Lindsay and Tyler out in the cold. Heather sees Lindsay as a walking vote, so maybe that would save her, and result in a Tyler boot? Unfortunate though, because I love them both! D:

Heather is getting super confident about her place in the competition, though, so you might throw a curve ball and have her get booted soon. Who knows? Anything's a possibility, your eliminations have often relied heavily on development that took place in the very chapter of each elim, so things can go a variety of ways from here on!

Aaaand that's me all caught up! I've been dishin' up these reviews, now it's your turn to dish up a chapter oop. Looking forward to your next update!
DeliriousDisposition chapter 6 . 8/13
Okay I know listed quite a few potential boots for this chapter in my last review, but damn, one of them was right! And it happened just how I thought it would, with Heather flipping the script! It did seem a little predictable what with you highlighting the fact that Justin and Katie weren't doing much the whole challenge - I suspected one of them would get the boot, and Katie was much more likely given Justin feels more like a main character than Katie ever did. Still, though, it's a shame we won't get much resolution re: Justin/Katie any time soon. How is Katie gonna find out Justin's motives for the pairing?

Cody was the person DJ told. Interesting. I'm losing interest in that side of things, if only because DJ and Cody are among my least liked characters in this fic, unfortunately! Even with this big secret, they feel like such easy fodder boots. I'd like to see one of them, or Geoff due to his lack of action, be the next boot. LeShawna is also a candidate for a soon-ish boot IMO just because she seems to be striking an attitude with everyone. She's been super aggro with Courtney all season, way more than Gwen and Duncan have, so that's confused me. Either way, Courtney is fav Gopher, but Eva and Noah are putting in some good work. Gwen's pretty UTR so she's middle ground, then Duncan for his cute interactions with Courtney, then the bottom of the pack are Geoff, LeShawna, DJ, and Cody, probably in that order. While I like Geoff, he just seems like walking fodder, so he's #6 for the team. LeShawna's 'tude securing the #7 spot, and DJ and Cody rounding out the nine.

Over on the Bass, I'm loving Bridgette, Lindsay, Trent, Heather, and Tyler. I've soured a little on Justin with his relationship with Katie (The Justin/Trent teasing seemed waaay too good in comparison oop). That just leaves Sadie and Harold trailing the team? Harold got a good interaction with Heather in today, but he's still canon fodder, at least how it appears right now anyway. Sadie's fine, but I don't suppose she'll make the merge. A surprise soon-ish Bass boot would probably be someone like Lindsay or Tyler. Trent or Bridgette would be the most surprising, but just to the extent that I physically cannot imagine either of them getting booted next.

Talking about Bridgette and the Bass, I loved how Lindsay was the one to welcome her into the fold - I hope we have little call backs to their Team Victory days, however short they were. "You remember Tyler, right?" Honestly, what a sweetheart:'). She melts my heart and I hope she's around til at least the merge. I hope Lindsay will help Bridgette fit right in, to be honest, I love the idea of those two being friends.

As for Sadie/Trent... I'm not feeling it, and Trent ain't either. What I /am/ feeling is slow-burn Justin/Trent, even if there ain't been any hints for it since like chapter 3. Still, a boy can ship, right? As long as Sadie doesn't just go silent for a few episodes like she did in canon, she'll be doing alright. Can't imagine her sticking around for many more Bass ceremonies, though.

I loved the Duncan/Courtney/DJ scene, not gonna lie. That was some good stuff right there. I'm liking this whole Duncan/Courtney friend plot, but I can't help but feel it'll backfire if Noah notices it. DJ might be safe from the next Gopher elim since he's friends with Duncan and Geoff, and now Cody, so I don't hold much hope for a DJ/Cody boot D: Guess we'll wait and see, though! You surprised with Ezekiel's boot, so anything can happen!

I was surprised that no one seemed to care that Tyler handed the Gophers the win, but clearly Heather's desire to boot Katie was stronger than her presumable anger at losing the challenge. Ah well, Tyler lives to see another day - will he make it through Phobia Factor? I'm thinkin' yeah. Gopher boot boiiiiiz... Watch it be a Bass boot.

Looking forward to the next chapter!
DeliriousDisposition chapter 5 . 8/13
Okay damn, did not see Ezekiel being the boot this chapter, and I appreciate the surprise! I'll admit, I had a little feeling it might end up being him once Noah expressed his feelings about Ezekiel telling Courtney of his vote, but up until then, I was 100% in the dark, and going into the elimination I was 50/50 on who it would be, Geoff or Zeke. So nice stuff there! I do find some of the Gophers' motives for voting him a bit weird, like Duncan, because I thought they were pretty chill with him after him helping secure some Gopher wins in the previous episodes, so it did feel a bit off, but I suppose it's nothing too out-there in the grand scheme of things. Just kinda wondering how they all got on the anti-Ezekiel train, unless that just happened in scenes that didn't make the final episode.

I really liked the twist for the challenge, to be honest. Made things so much more interesting, and I loved the picks for the contest! Sadie and Heather served up some comedy gold, Katie and Justin brought the scandal, Tyler and Lindsay were just straight up adorable, and we had a nice little call-back with LeShawna. Good stuff all round, really!

Interesting with Heather thinking that DJ and Alejandro witnessed Katie and Justin, rather than DJ witnessing LeShawna and Alejandro. This could either end up in Katie's elimination, or Sadie's, but now I'm kind of thinking Katie? Seems like Heather will warm herself up to Sadie further and drive a little wedge between them, but who knows...?

Katie and Justin, though, I hope they don't last. Girl's gonna get heartbroken, which will be a shame, but they for sure can't become an actual couple at this rate, not with Justin's motives being known.

First to find out about AleShawna... Harold, Heather, Gwen, or Noah. The first three because they're close to one of the involved parties, and Noah because he seems to be the Team Schemer, and could use it to sway the votes against LeShawna. The drama will flow regardless of who's the first to find out, though!

Cute little Duncan and Courtney moment! Not sure how I feel about them getting together - only if it's super slow burn I think, but you're laying the groundwork for that to be a potential outcome, so we'll see what you end up going with!

Next Gopher boot I'm feeling DJ, Geoff, LeShawna, or Cody. I was worried about Courtney, but Noah seems to have plans for her... yet I also thought he would keep Zeke around longer, tbh. Maybe even Duncan if he wants to have Courtney completely isolated? Gwen also seems to be floating through on the outskirts of drama, so you might decide to cut her. Hopefully not so soon, but it's definitely an option!

Next Bass boot I'm feeling Katie, Sadie, or Harold. Trent and Justin are pretty safe, Lindsay and Tyler are so-so, but I think they'll be chill if they stay UTR. Heather is a wild-card but I think she's playing a good game, so she'll be around. Harold just seems to be a floater, and not even much of an amicable one to the rest of his team-mates, so I can't see anyone truly hesitating to gun for him again. Katie and Sadie have an impending drama explosion, and the next episode was Katie's elimination, so... could be poetic if either of them go.

You do seem to be going with a quasi-antagonistic Noah, and I'm... actually kind of enjoying it? The move to not boot Geoff, who would otherwise have a pretty strong friendship web, was questionable, but Noah hasn't been too insufferable as of yet. I'm intrigued to see what his long-game is, and whether he'll go full-villain or just stay morally grey like he is at the moment. Between Noah, Heather, and perhaps even Justin, you've got a good few Antag options to keep you going through the rest of the season. Antag Harold in the wake of AleShawna reveal? Antag Sadie after the Justin/Katie kiss? We'll soon find out!

Courtney revealing she voted for Geoff in front of everyone was a bit of a strange move for her to make, given Bridgette's inevitable feeling of betrayal, but since she did indeed express her shock at the outcome of the vote, it could provide a little drama between the established Bridgette/Courtney friendship. We'll see.

Anyway, great chapter! Loved the shake-up to the challenge, and looking forward to more!
DeliriousDisposition chapter 4 . 8/12
Lol WAT? The scandal! I'm HERE for it! AleShawna was never something I would've ever expected from this story, and I'm excited to see where it goes... are they actually having an affair? Completely totally truthfully? I'm speechless and I love it. I almost physically gasped, tbh. This is great, and I wonder if it'll spell the end for DJ because he knows about it... Interesting...

Anyway, the other ship beginning to set sail: Katie/Justin. I honestly feel sorry for Katie already because she's going to get her heart broken and I hope we get to see an actual emotional side to her when it eventually happens. In the mean-time, I can see Sadie's impending jealousy getting the better of her and causing her own elimination, or Katie's, which would be disastrous for Heather's little alliance. Oof, Heather did not account for this, no ma'am. Also it's getting in the way of Justin/Trent, so, next callerrrr next callerrrrr.

I'm also glad you have no plans for Ezekiel/Courtney. While I'm enjoying this Ezekiel to an extent, I wouldn't want him to get with Courtney of all people. He has as much sex appeal as swamp water, if that, so... no thank you. The little interaction was cute though, Courtney's just trying to do her best to rally her team and none of those other bitches are cooperating. Duncan, Gwen, and LeShawna just seem to be rebelling for... very little reason. Like, I get they're not Courtney's biggest fans, but girl just wants to help lead the team to victory.

Genuinely surprised you pulled a triple loss streak for the Bass. I had a sneaking suspicion you might as soon as Owen mentioned their almost assured victory, but I didn't think you'd actually do it you mad woman. While Owen did seem to be more of an asset in the challenge, his fate was sealed as soon as they lost, despite your hints that Lindsay and Harold were on the chopping block as well. Lindsay so soon after Beth was a definite no-no, at least that was my logic, and it just didn't feel like Harold's time. I'm happy Owen's gone because he's usually just there for comic relief, but yeah, it does kind of follow suit with the Izzy elim in that they're both almost always early boots, but that's okay! Just looking for a spicier elim some time soon while also rooting for some of the duds to be trimmed out as well, so that's a bit like wishing for two different things at the same time oops.

I liked the little modifications to some of the dodgeballs, that was a neat little alteration to the expected! Wonder if/how you'll spice up the Talent Show...

I'd be here for Lindsay becoming a little bit of a power player in the wake of Beth's elimination and also her believing she was the better pick for the last match of this challenge, lmao. Gotta love her. I laughed when she said Beth would've been the cutest girl at her grandfather's funeral or something if she'd taken her advice and gotten a perm. :')

I was also pretty sure the Gophers wouldn't lose just because Noah hadn't really done anything to secure his place in the competition, and with his little Ezekiel plot, I don't feel like you'd boot him off so soon. I don't know, he seemed like the clear choice for a Gopher boot, or even Courtney if he and Ezekiel had stacked their votes with Duncan and potentially DJ and Geoff, and Gwen and LeShawna.

I honestly can't call who the first Gopher boot will be. Courtney, DJ, LeShawna, Cody, and Noah all seem like they're prime candidates for the role, but it could be anyone - the basis of the first three eliminations has taken place in the actual chapter, and thus would be difficult to predict in advance, so I expect the same for the inevitable Bass boot. Even Geoff, despite him being loved by pretty much the whole team. He just seems to be floating at the moment, too.

Anyway, I think that's just about all I have to say for now! Really enjoyed reading this chapter and looking forward to the next!
DeliriousDisposition chapter 3 . 8/11
Ahhhh I'm in two minds about how this elimination went down. On the one hand, it's totally something I can see happening in canon, but on the other... why was Lindsay so eager to boot Beth instead of literally anyone else (sans Tyler)? I don't know, disregarding how the drama felt a bit sudden, which you've acknowledged since you initially wanted it to be more slow-burn, all of the Bass just immediately seemed to be on board with Heather's plan, despite not knowing her plan... Like I said, two minds bc it isn't the most convenient elim ever comparing it to some of the TDI votes, but still, I was surprised everyone immediately went in on Tyler and Beth. o:

Other than that, I love Heather making moves like these. She definitely hasn't lost her touch, and she came to win! She's got Katie and Sadie on side, but I wonder how long that'll last? Will she be smart and treat this alliance better than she did her alliance with Beth and Lindsay? Hope so, if only to see more of her sneaky strats.

Noah working up Ezekiel again, interesting. He's really building up that slow-burn alliance... or is he just straight up manipulating him? I can't tell yet. Maybe Antagonist!Noah has tainted my perception of him. We'll see what happens with those two anyway, they're definitely outliers on the Gophers alongside Cody, and less so Eva now that she seems to be making friends with Bridgette.

Talking about Eva and Bridgette, I like that Eva's literally going to the person she seemed to hate most on Island and trying to strike up a friendship with her. We love that growth. I wonder how it'll go down with Bridgette's other friends...

Characters who seemed to be very absent this chapter, such as DJ and Owen, I wouldn't mind being the next two boots. They haven't really brought anything to the table yet, whereas just about everyone else has. I'm much more happy about Beth's elim than I am with Izzy's, too - I haven't liked Beth in any of these chapters, so byeee!

Trent and Justin are cute, not gonna lie. I like how they seem to be running the Bass team, too, even if Heather's pulling strings behind the scenes. I can definitely see Owen being the next Bass boot, to be honest.

Cody's another character I hope doesn't stick around much longer, he's just... uninteresting. I prefer him to other characters like Harold and Ezekiel in canon, but at least those two are already varying degrees of plot-relevant. Perhaps things will change if Noah and Ezekiel try to form an alliance with him, though...

But yeah, stand-outs of the chapter: Heather, Justin, Trent, Bridgette, LeShawna, Eva, Gwen.

Duds of the chapter: DJ, Owen, Cody, Beth.

Veeeeery eager to see some more Courtney in future chapters so I can add her to that stand-out section! But we'll see what you have in store for the bunch!

All in all I really liked the chapter, got major TDI vibes (to be expected with TDI challenges? Idk, but the Heather scheming and the way it was set up gave off Island vibes as well, so yaaas). Really liking where things are headed!
DeliriousDisposition chapter 2 . 8/4
Yeahhh that's about how I pictured things going after Izzy and Harold ditched. Izzy's typically canon fodder in comp fics so I hope you'd have kept her around a little while to subvert that, but alas, she fell victim to her zaniness. I'm not saying I would've preferred Heather to go, just that Izzy being booted wasn't much of a shocker D':

Talking about Heather, I'm surprised she didn't at least try to strategise in between their challenge loss and the votes at the very least, to be honest. Of course she was never going to get Trent, Lindsay, or Beth to vote with her, but she could've tried her best with Katie and Sadie, perhaps even Harold or Izzy o: Not that it would be guaranteed to work, but she just seemed very... quick to accept her fate, if ya get me?

Those are the only two sorta-issues I had with the chapter, though! On the whole I'm liking the atmosphere you're creating so far, and look forward to seeing how things unfold further! As for my favourite characters, I'm gonna have to say Trent and Justin are standing out right about now. Katie and Sadie are good for laughs, though!

Noah grated on me the first half of the chapter, but seeing him get into the alliance groove is interesting. I hope this is just good game strategy and isn't setting up some sort of quasi-antagonist arc or something, though. Let's just say I've not been a fan of Villain!Noah in a certain other ongoing competition fic by one of our nearest and dearest (he already knows all this, so i'm not being bitchy hehe) xoxo

Genuinely intrigued as to how Heather will play things now that she has a bit of her confidence back! Beth is annoying me, not gonna lie, she can get booted some time soon but she has that Lindsay and Tyler safety blanket to cushion the blow of votes.

Courtney is back to her in-your-face self, which is decent. I hope she has a long and interesting arc ahead of her! There's some interesting things that could happen with Courtney, Duncan, Gwen, Bridgette, and LeShawna all being on the same team!

Next Gopher boot hopes: Ezekiel or Duncan or Cody (I would've said Noah, but his little alliance thing might be interesting...)

Next Bass boot hopes: Beth or Harold

Anyway, solid stuff and looking forward to seeing the story really growing into itself! Lol (lots of love c':!) ur boi DeliriousDisposition aka DD aka DJ xo
DeliriousDisposition chapter 1 . 7/27
Okay, review time! Sorry I took so long getting round to this, [BlueIce RedFire]! I vvvvv much like that this is just the Island peeps, I've been on a season 1 kick of late and damn I got super hyped when Chris revealed it was just gonna be that cast! Not a big Sierra or Alejandro fan, but I can deal with them kickin around as interns.

I liked how the teams were formed by how the characters chose where they'd stay - I was about to get stressed out if Chris gave them teams that didn't align with their cabins so I'm glad that didn't happen.

Stand-out characters for me were definitely Katie, Sadie, Gwen, and Courtney. Lindsay was also pretty cute, and I liked Izzy and Tyler as well. Looking forward to seeing how this bunch do!

On the other hand, I'm already rooting for the downfall of Harold. Ezekiel looks like prime fodder material as per usual, but perhaps you'll invert that and have someone completely unexpected go? Heather's another potential first boot, which would be... original, to say the least.

Also the "Killer Bass: Beth, Harold-" had me shook because I didn't realise the second person, alphabetically, of that team was Harold. A H-name. The jump surprised me xo

But yeah, solid first chapter - didn't drag on, and you got just about everyone's core personality down, so that's always a good start! Shall read Chapter Two sooooooon!

LY long time,

DJ xo
StayOuttaMyShed chapter 7 . 7/19
I'm a few days behind but its good to be caught up.

I figured this would be one of the weirder challenges to try and alter since a lot of these guys already faced their fears successfully back in the original. The end result was a bit odd, I'll admit. I feel like most of the challenges were more focused on getting them out of the chair rather than actually being a fear (Lindsay, DJ, Eva, Sadie). Even some who passed like Courtney and Noah's were explicitly not fears, heck we know from Ridonculous Race that Owen's gas doesn't phase him anymore so that was basically a freebie. And then for the actual fear attempts we got jumpscares towards characters that obviously wouldn't be affected by it, or off screen reuses of the original episode. I think Cody was the only new instance actually playing on personal fear. Oh well, I suppose the "Flinch Tent" wouldn't have been as catchy. Also I have no idea what was going on with Trent's scene, guess that was just a random for the fun of it moment. I guess I'd say the challenge overall didn't vibe with me, but I appreciated the scene that forced Leshawna to really face the fallout of her actions. Denial ain't a good look girl, smh. Speaking of which, Chris using blackmail to force Alejandro into doing what he wants is great! Hard to feel bad for the dude all things considering.

Moving on to character stuffs, man it seems like a lot of friendships are just kinda randomly crumbling, eh? First Harold and the bros, now Noah and Eva. Maybe Eva being so aggressive this chapter can be chalked up to frustration at Noah booting a potential vote over who she wanted gone combined with the awareness of them being in the danger zone, but it was still really weird. I'm not a huge Bridgette fan, I think she's a bit dull, but her pep talk scene with Gwen was cute. Heather's fun, though I still wonder why she's so outwardly antagonistic in some instances knowing her own reputation (tripping Justin just for the hell of it). Courtney is low key probably my favorite character in the story right now and I'm really interested to see where her being suspicious of Leshawna goes. I'm also kinda digging Duncan, he was spitting some facts about how Geoff and Bridge just being on other teams is really no big deal at all.

So we got Up The Creek next? That's definitely easy to mix around considering the state of Boney Island since TDI. All the mutant animals are there, so their presence can easily make up for how obviously no one would take the cursed idol this time. Hard to predict next boots, but maybe with Courtney on the prowl DJ could be relieved of his duties soon? As for the Bass, I could see one half of Lindsay/Tyler going since they haven't done too much lately, probably Tyler since Heather finds Lindsay more easy to try and sway. Should be interesting to see what happens!
Knifez chapter 7 . 7/13
What I feared has come to pass :(

RIP Geoffrey, he shall be missed!

I get it, though. Bridgette seems to be the main character in this story so him leaving early was necessary for her story. I do enjoy the way he went out though. He's won his $500,000 and is down to let the others duke it out. I don't know if he would've actually voted himself off, but I can definitely see him being ok with losing.

The challenge was super interesting, but I will admit some of the fears were either confusing or a bit contrived. Like what was up with DJ and his Momma? And Geoff's fear seemed way more hardcore than any other kind of fear.

And we get more interaction between Alejandro and LeShawna. LeShawna seems to think denial is fine. Psyche, bitch you're comeuppance is coming soon. That will reach a boiling point at some point and I am READY for it.

Lindsay and Tyler continue to be adorable. I'm reminded every chapter how happy I am that Tyler stayed and Beth got her ass sent packing during the Awakeathon :').

Eva is way more of a bully than I've seen in most other fics, and I honestly really dig it. My only qualm is that she's super mean to Noah specifically, when canonically the two are shown to be friends. I mean Noah even berated her in the TDI special and she took it on the chin. Other than that, though, I'm liking what you are doing with those two.

I'm loving the Trent/Justin dynamic. I've written them as bros in two different stories and I always like their bromance. I would also really like to see them work with Bridgette. I feel a serious Justin/Heather rivalry has rarely done been in stories so it'd be cool to see that done here.

As for who goes next...jeeze, I really don't know! If the Gophers lose I'll say DJ, probably? Only because I'm predicting a 4-4 tie with Eva and I don't really see her losing a tiebreaker and going home this early. If some reason comes up for them to target Cody instead of Eva on that side of four, I can see him maybe going home too?

For the Bass, it's much more of a toss up. I can see it being someone who performed badly in the challenge getting axed, so maybe one of Lyler or Harold? If I could choose myself I would have Sadie go just because meh Sadie, but you said you have plans for her so I'm thinking she'll stick around for a least another two or three challenges.

My favorite fear was probably Duncan just straight up not giving a shit and beating his fear. I stan badass Duncan.

All in all another awesome chapter, even if this was the first elimination to make me go :c

Really good update time, too! Keep it up!
Gucci Mane LaFlare chapter 7 . 7/12
This was pretty good.
I liked that you didn't just use the fears from canon, you mixed it up a little.
The format of the chalenge was also good too, not like the usual fear challenges.
Danaenaes chapter 7 . 7/12
oh jesus this was a spicy chapter hsdkjfhdskj
really well done! i personally appreciate that youve definitely kicked this up a notch compared to the original series, lmao. excited for the next chapter!

a chapter 7 . 7/12
Nice
I didn't expect Geoff elimination
Danaenaes chapter 6 . 7/6
once again you dont fail to impress me! your writing has really improved and your portrayal of the characters is super accurate yet unique enough to make it different! also, dont apologize for taking awhile; this is YOUR story, and you gotta write it for your satisfaction first!
StayOuttaMyShed chapter 6 . 7/3
Wow, another surprising elimination. I mean, not nearly as surprising as Ezekiel's was, and obviously it became clear that Katie was getting axed when Heather told the others as much, but just the fact that she's going now and before her BFFFL. But hey, unlike Zeke's bummer of an elimination, I have no qualms with this one. I just expected the Justin ship storyline to hand on a bit longer, and for him to have a more direct hand in her downfall. Feels kinda like the storyline is incomplete since she's out while still being under the impression that he actually liked her and not knowing that he only wanted screen time, ya know? I did like Sadie and Lindsay's little friendship bit, and after last chapter I found her more entertaining than the thinner twin, it's just that like Zeke it felt like there was more story to tell with her. Can't help but find it weird that got cut short when characters still making less impact on the story is around, ya know? Hate to keep harping on the same example, but Geoff springs to mind.

While I don't think Heather was ever felt to be in any danger, I'm surprised Tyler's slip up didn't cost him some ire from Heather and crew. Almost felt like his elimination setup since he hasn't been doing too much since Beth went, though I'm glad to see him stay since he's been funny. Speaking of that team, loved the Harold and Heather scene! Truly the OTP seeds have been planted for when Alejandro is kicked to the curb for being unfaithful. Truly Harold is the bigger chad. But joked aside, I'm just glad my boy got a nice scene like that since he's been feeling like his goose has been cooked lately. Especially with him and Justin turning on each other, guess that Drama Bros friendship really is caput. Or at least Harold being part of it. But honestly, I don't know if this may be unpopular, in general I'm really liking the Bass a lot more than the Gophers at the moment. Heather is the clear star of the story, Trent just vibing, Lindsay is funny, etc.

Over with the Bass, DJ choosing Cody to be who he spills the beans to is a bit random, but it gives Cody something of note other than being lowkey creepy with his simp tendencies, so that's good if he's going to stick around. He still in the top 5 characters I'd most like to see get eliminated tho, lol. It'll be interesting to see how he factors in to the eventual reveal. Courtney is easily my favorite for the Gophers and like her attempting to gain new allies while working with Duncan. I'm not really vibing with them being a ship post all Stars but them as patched up friends is cool. Outside of them Noah and Eva are interesting, and I'm enjoying DJ's role in the affair storyline, but that's about it. Hard for me to like Leshawna with the story's events, Gwen and Geoff just kinda there, and I'm actively disliking Cody. So hopefully Bass don't lose again now that they have Bridgette boosting their strength.

Looking forward to the next one!
