Jacob Flores chapter 25 . 15h
This story consistently makes me excited. In all honesty, if you're not working on an actual manuscript now, you should probably get on it, because you clearly have the skill and talent to write an actual book. Take it from someone who knows.
elenasmcanonico chapter 25 . 10/20
Well, things certainly got interesting in a new way! I wonder what this training will do for Elsa (or to her) at long-term...
Wonderful job and stay safe!

SamBady chapter 25 . 10/19
Yet another great chapter. Can't wait to see what exactly Markkus is up to.

*tips over ice blue paint bucket*

*is covered in paint*

*sighs*

So, I have lots of love for this chapter, and the last scene in particular. It's written with a certain sort of grace that I just love, and has lots of lines that I have heart eyes for.

"Your lack of knowledge and control is what's dangerous." I LOVE this. This is, like, the perfect thing for him to say to her, and sort of a bigger line that just encompasses life itself. I read deeper into this line, and it really sat me back a bit.

She might be younger than most leaders, but she was far from naive - love

That Markkus was offering her something she had strived for, and it would be foolish to turn him down for the sake of defiance - love

The ROSEMALING - because I do love it when you make me look something up. :P

I TOTALLY read ominous bastartiness in "You need to learn how to control your magic while experiencing those emotions. I think I can help you with that."

And I really love the way this ends here with Elsa feeling a spark of hope. She needs that. I hope nothing bad ever happens to that little spark of hope.

*proteccs little spark of hope*

Guest chapter 24 . 10/12
This chapter is nice.
elenasmcanonico chapter 24 . 10/13
Markkus keeps being mysterious, but it definitely can be said that he is more strategic and patient than Tyr. Only time will tell if he is less cruel. By the way, the descriptions of the thoughts and feelings of the characters, as usual, are amazing! You really get in their heads.
Great job and stay safe!
TitaniaErin chapter 24 . 10/12
Glad to see an update for this one.
I just want poor Elsa back with Anna.
Of course this guy is a jerk too. I knew it wouldn't be too easy.
chrissie0707 chapter 24 . 10/12
I love the entire bit that starts "Tyr had been reluctant to talk." And before that, the image of melted ice clinging to the spot where Elsa had been. And then the "prideful, arrogant ass" made me lol.

I love that Markkus has the realization that Queen prisoner military comin'. And the "she was something else entirely." Markkus's voice through this entire last scene is just *chef's kiss* (I know I've used that before, but I like it. :P )

The "you do, but that's not for you to worry about" line is so ominous and creepy, yet so calm and cold. I love it. Even though I hate this guy.

I refuse to tip over my tiny ice dragon! I am going to love it and hug it and keep it warm and...

Wait.

Lovers the werds and your FACE.
SunsetAurora chapter 23 . 10/10
Really great chapter, nice change of pace. Thanks for writing.
Emberhee chapter 23 . 10/8
Interesting... some answers and a nice man who’s probably _really_ evil, since I can’t see what Tyr would gain from lying abut it.
Thank you
elenasmcanonico chapter 23 . 9/26
Well, these chapter answered a lot of questions about magic in general, but raises a few more about Markkus. Is he genuinely well-intentioned towards Elsa? Or is he just as cruel and ruthless as Tyr, but simply more manipulative?
Wonderful job and stay safe!
Jacob Flores chapter 23 . 9/26
Well this just got more complicated...in a good way. Some answers but still more questions.

What's more, all of this ties back into the idea that magic is so easily used for good and evil because of people rather than the magic itself. I swear, Elsa would have made a good mutant in the X-Men. Unfortunatley, it also sets up potential manipulation. I can't accept that Markkus doesn't want something more than keeping Elsa out of the Sirma's hands. He wants something, and he's playing a game to influence Elsa into getting it. That's my theory, anyway.

But keep up the good work.
