Absolutely, beauteously wonderful. You made me feel enough of Susan's hurt that I had a little tear-wiping of my own to do. I really enjoyed and appreciated your take on post-LB Susan, and liked that her happy ending was not immediate within the story because, as much as we all want her to have a neat, satisfying conclusion (even if the story is years and years down the line), life is messy and lessons are hard. I think there's really something to be said with the choice to make her persevere through her deferred hopes and shattered dreams, and to remind her that Aslan is quietly walking with her every bit as those times He quietly walked with her in Narnia, though she had not realized it at the time.

The ending rang much better. It's not, I think, about describing an instantaneous transformation ("road to Damascus" moment) but using a point of understanding, of growing discernment. In Remaking the Queen, you told how she found Aslan in this world. This was a point where she learned to know Him better, to face grief and to keep moving forward, not looking to the things left behind. If it seems short, well, only those who have gone on before us know it perfectly. "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that for which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me." (Phil 3:12). The story is still a reminder and an encouragement. Thank you for writing and sharing it :)

I definitely laughed with Susan at one point though - I don't think anyone would be able to say it to Mrs. Macready in this world, but in the one to come, I hope Orieus has the opportunity to tell her she would have made a good centaur!

I really loved your story, you gave Susan hope, but also showed her that just because she wanted it to be so, that she would not get it right away here, or there. That it wasn't just about her, but also the people who knew her family, like the Macready she and others need hope, as well.
