I can't even imagine the pain he must be feeling, and now that he's been cornered, I highly doubt he'll be able to keep up appearances. Renji will find out the truth. Byakuya won't be able to hide behind the lies anymore. And if the elders learn that their leader has failed... they will take action against them both.
