oma13 chapter 14 . 7/15 Yay, Aredian got his comeuppance! Absolutely loved this story. Sorry I didn't review more but be assured I read them and love them. Great job with Uther; he's still callous and uncaring. So glad for a happy ending for Merlin. Thanks for keeping Merlin alive for us, especially since it's been so long since it ended. |
Coolestbee chapter 14 . 6/26 Smiling at the end. Thank you for a wonderful read |
tatariss chapter 14 . 5/16 I feel silly writing this because surely you must know: Everything and anything you write - from one-shots to AU-giants, from tear-jerking friendship to heart-wrenching angst - is amazing. I find myself returning to the stories you've posted years ago multiple times a year just to re-read it all over again. Receiving the message of an update in your account literally makes my heart beat faster because I'm in for an emotional roller-coaster in either which way. It's not only your immensely precise way of expressing even the most abstract of phenomena, the most convulsed of emotions and every subtle shift in the atmosphere in any given scene. It's also how accurate your perception and portrayel of friendship is; of love and self-doubt and duty and *human life*. How I wish every character I came across in fiction were as multidimensional and *real* as yours are. I have long since accepted your interpretation of Merlin and Arthur, the Knights of the Round Table, and the dynamics between them as fact. When rewatching episodes from the show disappointment is never far away because I have become so used to your characters I find their TV-selves lacking (never the actors' job, though!). I want to sincerely thank you for sharing your stories and let you know that I for my part will remain your avid reader for as long as you'll post. Here's to hoping I won't stay alone in my longing for news about Camelot so that you'll have to stick to your promise ;) |
Guest chapter 14 . 5/9 That went surprisingly well with Uther. Fantastic story. |
Guest chapter 14 . 5/3 Thank you for this great story! Very unique and well written. |
fairy goatmother chapter 14 . 5/5 Thank you for a lovely ending to this adventure. Thank you for writing it and sharing it. And thank you for starting a new adventure for us to follow you on in June. Looking forward to it! Again thanks! |
mersan123 chapter 14 . 5/5 Hey Wryter. I was not expecting this to end so soon. Still, a very suitable ending. I think I just kept expecting Uther to turn 'nasty' again and block Arthurs attempts. So glad I was wrong. How delightful to have Merlin return to Gaius and Freya. Even more wonderful to find a long lost (and feared dead) father. Very nicely done. Many thanks Wryter. I look forward to your next story. Please do let us know if you are moving to AO3 - I will watch for you there if you do. Hard to read a story here now with ads littered all the way through it. Till next time, keep safe and well. |
Wonky Wendy chapter 14 . 5/4 This story was literally so amazing! Like holy carp! I loved it! |
Vanvdreamer chapter 14 . 5/3 Loved this story, especially how Arthur had to be brave and put himself out there. And a happy ending never hurts either! Thanks for sharing, I really enjoyed this! |
Gingeraffealene chapter 14 . 5/3 I can imagine spring in Yelder’s Holler just before Merlin leaves and makes a green trail across the land all the way back to the fort. It’ll be beautiful. Thanks for another amazing (and I do mean amazing) story! Reading your writing just makes me feel good. Thanks, Wryter! |
mizzymel chapter 14 . 5/3 Arthur's reaction to this was perfect, and I'm so glad that he was able to take over and free the Green Knights. Love the reunion between Merlin and Freya, and the re-introduction between Merlin and Balinor, also. Looks like this all worked out, and Merlin will return in the spring to help his friends in a way that doesn't keep so many people locked up. Loved this story, and sorry to see it end. Looking forward to your next one, whether it's here or AO3. Just make sure you update here to let us know where to find you, there. |
Guest chapter 13 . 4/26 Holy moly. |
Msomaji chapter 13 . 4/24 Wow what an intense chapter! Really enjoyed with the parallels with the witchfinder episode (even though i know this was an original fic) and how Aredian very bliuntly threatened that he would and could do anything with Merlin - since he's an greenblood and therefore just a tool, a means to an end. Arthur coming to his realisations, right at the oppurtune time... The the ending. Another reference to the episodes perhaps. son or father. a syringe aimed at arthur. and merlin who is preventing it. Gives back some vibes of Ep1S1. obviously Melrin won't be able to bend time in this world - but maybe, live? anyway. looking forward to the next chapter. As always :) |
mersan123 chapter 13 . 4/20 Hey Wryter. Good to see you. Trusting you are still staying well. Excellent chapter. Terrifying that Merlin was arrested by Aredian (slimy git) and the fact that he realised that Merlins blood had been tampered with was very disappointing. Trust Merlin to save the plant. So very Merlin. I feel for Arthur having to face these very disturbing truths. That would be devastating. Still, he needs to know. Gwaine to the rescue. Just love Gwaine. He is a brilliant character. To see Uther arrive and instantly dismiss Aredian was a shock. I kind of figured he would take the slimes side (again). Cliff hanger ending. I can only imagine Merlin has thrown himself in front of Arthur and Uther. Again, so very Merlin. Thanks Wryter. Loved the chapter. Keep safe and well! |
CityHunter12 chapter 13 . 4/20 Gah, another nail-biter! You're very good at those :) Can't wait for the next chapter. I'm enjoying this story immensely! |
