So Naruto is basically a one trick pony with crappy Taijutsu? No kenjutsu? I hope you round him out soon

Hey, I love how you've fleshed out the characters. I always felt that it was somewhat lacking in the manga. Especially regarding the females and Team 8. It's great to see Naruto making friendships with others from the Rookie 9.

I'm really happy that you have decided to bring in the Uzumaki clan heritage in the story, coz it was only about the Uchiha in the manga. Really hoping to see Uzumaki and Hyuga given proper treatment in this story. One I hope you take care of, is that please don't make Naruto too OP right off the bat just because he learns sealing techniques.

There are a few minor grammatical hiccups, but nothing too serious. Waiting for the next chapter!

Good story but here are a few things you got wrong or annoyed me to no end.

1) Tsuchigakure is not a real village. It's called Iwagakure and is led by a Tsuchikage.
2) Kakashi's mask an ANBU name was Dog (Inu) not Fox, while not canon as I don't recall any specific code name and the wiki doesn't mention it, it's still pretty jarring to me to see all the fics refer to his ANBU persona as such and then you going against that.

Besides that I mostly agree with your A/N about the underused characters with wasted potential. And While the Kaguya and Zetsu reveal was weak writing, I'm pretty sure 10 years of writing and drawing takes it toll and at some point you just want it to be over and done with.

Man, definitely not liking where this is going. I'm hoping that Danzou's plan fails. I really do. Last thing we need is that a-hole being allowed to do anything except wallow in his own BS. Guess we'll see.

And I hope Anko eventually wises up to her mistake. Because she has made a huge giant mistake, even if she refuses to admit it. And the longer she does refuse, the worse it'll be for her and Iruka. Guess we'll see.

Love the way the interactions between Iruka and Anko are building. Here's hoping that the two of them can get past their issues and get back together. They are great for each other once Anko can get over her grief and self doubt, and Iruka can continue to be more forward and not anchored by their past.

Wonder if Hiruzen and Danzou are going to have a showdown to settle things before a full blown civil war happens. If a civil war does occur maybe a truce can be called to have the two leaders duke it out. I'd recommend the Forest of Death for their battle or the Valley of the end.

It was funny to see how Naruto has used seals and knocking codes for his house. Don't knock the right patter, here's a bucket of water.

How does the seal array work that he has put on his hands? Is it just a storage seal? Would be interested in him either combining it with the Uzumaki sealing chains or chakra chains of some kind. He could throw a kunai or other weapon he summons from their and pull it back or manipulate it with a chain.

I absolutely love the story and your take on the characters, actually I'll go as far as to say I like iruka more than naruto at this point. There are a few things that I absolutely love
* The dialogue is really good, thought-out. A lot of fics have childish and stupid dialogue
* The plot makes sense, it's not entirely "fantasy" if that makes sense and the characters are real, they have regrets and are not all goody two shoes.
Things that I feel can improve the story
* I think the Hina-Naru relationship is pretty cringy to read, but then writing any romance is really difficult. Instead of making Hinata love naruto from the start, I would have loved to read a hate-to-love path. I also want to read a cold, arrogant hinata done well, but I guess we crossed that point.
* I feel some more team 7 interactions would do good, and naruto focusing on other training schemes instead of ony seals. One thing I hated in the anime and manga is how much they limited the use of ninjutuse, It was just nuking the shit out of everyone. I would love for naruto to focus on nin, tai jutsu. Also as a request from a hardcore minato fan, I would love to see naruto somehow learn the hiraishin but that's entirely up to you.

Congratulations! Of all the fanfiction authors on this site, you were the one that wrote something great enough that has encourage me to post a review instead of mindlessly just reading their series. Love the divergent path you have taken so far from the main timeline.

Heavy, this story is heavy. Too many stories get angst heavy to the point of parody, but I don't think this one will. You are treating the characters like real people and allowing the story to develop from that point. I am loving this story so far and I look forward to the direction you are taking it.
