They're so sweet together! I love them so much

Aww, so glad Gerald asked Phoebe to the dance, but I do hope that other girl does not become too much of a problem for them. On the other hand, I'd live to see "Hall Monitor Phoebe" show her face and teach that cheerleader a thing or two!

"All of a sudden and all at once, Gerald's presence was HEAVY."

That was a great line. I love this story already, there's so many good lines in it. I really love Helga's three points of advice, the girl knows what she is talking about. I'm really looking forward to hearing Gerald's side of the story, if you go that route. Nice work.

I hope this is only chapter one and this is going to continue!
One of my favorite little aspects of the show was Phoebe's growing awareness of what was going on with Helga and Arnold. It was clear by season 2 that she knew how Helga felt, but she never really talked about it because of course she couldn't (under pain of death), so I really love reading this whole depiction of how she'd process all that internally.
I love the idea that Phoebe's theoretical approach to everything in life had her betting against Arnold and Helga just because the odds were against them, and then when they finally hook up it throws off her entire world view.
I was a little surprised at first when Phoebe questioned if she would ever feel true love since she was together with Gerald by that point... but then what followed with her going from just liking Gerald to suddenly feeling LOVE was captivating.
It's a nice change of pace to see Helga giving advice and helping Phoebe through her problems since it's usually the other way around, and I guess this is an area Helga has some level of expertise with now.
Helga's big reveal in the movie always bothered me, especially since she goes back on it after (of course it mostly didn't work because the series ended before that could be resolved), so the way you frame that as bad timing here is wonderful.
I can't wait to see what sage advice Arnold has for Gerald on this subject.
