This is extremely well written. I think the author catches teenage angst fairly well. Most adults wouldn’t give a passing through to a monster like Lucius’ death, but the kids are wrapped up in it, for example.

Evanna is a really well realized OC. Some of the dreams she has are confusing (I didn’t realize the ancient Celts were opposed to killing, I’d think they’d be egging Evanna on to whack Lucius), but everything is is extremely elf well done.

I like the earnest of Harry’s character even if he comes across as not too bright. He seems capable of grasping only one point of view and that significantly limits him.

Lucius confuses me as a character. I can see him as violent when it comes to his treatment of Narcissa. His treatment of Evanna was not cunning in the slightest. It was actually self-destructive. There was no upside for him, regardless on how things worked out.

Snape and Narcissa are the opposite. Their failure to act for over a decade resulted in no upside. If either one had cast a quick cutting curse 90% of their problems would have been solved.

Dumbledore is not going to keep the Order’s motivated. Sirius, Snape and Remus seem on the same page on the need to protect Harry. If they begin to piece together the clues as to what he intends for Harry, there will be an irreparable rupture.

Ginny and Luna’s characters are growing on me. A lot.

Voldemort and Bellatrix are actually better realized than most stories. They aren’t two dimensional, cartoon villains.

Harry does not cover himself with glory in this chapter.

So Draco is like the worst brother ever. Repeatedly.

Dumbledore is as bad as Voldemort, he just dresses up his demands like it’s for a good cause.

I rescind my early comment. This version of Lucius is obviously a much nastier version than is usually portrayed.

I like the interaction between Evanna and Harry, as complicated by Lucius, Snape, Draco, Ginny, Ron and Hermione.

I really don’t get this version of Narcissa. Any of the Black sisters are capable of wearing Malfoy’s guts for garters. She’s pathetic.

He knows, he finally knows. And his reaction. Damn.

Hello, I came across this fanfic two days ago, and I have not been able to stop reading since. This story is such a gem! I love Evanna's character, I don't think she's a typical OC at all. I love her friendships with Ginny, Luna and Bridget. Her budding romance with Harry is very exciting, I hope the truth of her parentage doesn't damage that too much, or for too long. Snape has never been so likeable! I hope Dumbledore shows both Draco and Evanna some mercy. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Just have to say I love your story, also loving how Harry is starting to question things about his feelings and his role. I feel you did a really good job with Harry’s character, avoiding OOCness.
