Jazzielady76 chapter 1 . 8/18 Lol love it! |
Kiterou chapter 1 . 7/24 Another delightful and well-written story utterly ruined by the dismissal of Ron. |
kevmenc15 chapter 1 . 6/16 That was excellent! I laughed out loud at your description of Dementors. I also believe it's possible for a Patronus to be solid, depending on how you interpreted the Quidditch scene you refer to. |
ak chapter 1 . 5/13 bonne fic! pourquoi un patronus ne pourait il pas détruire (tuer) un horcrux? |
pedrokotii chapter 1 . 4/27 Patronus Charm 4 Conjuration Casting Time: 1 action Range: Self Components: V S Concentration: Yes Duration: Until dismissed, dispelled, or when there are no targets in the area Classes: Sorcerer, Wizard Silver mist coalesces at the tip of magical focus used. On failed casting, it will provide a Protection From Evil for one turn or until concentration is broken. On successful casting, the mist will coalesce into an animal-shaped construct (statpage elsewhere) that provides Protection from Evil in an area 5ft. around itself and does double damage to to Evil aligned creatures, demons and liches. This bonus applies for each category. |
Guest chapter 1 . 1/27 I'm guessing JKR's logic is along the lines of "The Patronus is a guardian. Guardian angels are also guardians. Angels are messengers. Therefore, the Patronus is a messenger." Angels have also been known to be chariots of fire and/or wrestle dudes so hard they limp permanently. |
Rebatrek chapter 1 . 1/6 A fun read. Thank you for sharing |
TomHRichardson chapter 1 . 11/23/2019 "Mr. Potter, did you not notice Mr. Weasley was missing this morning?" "A better question to ask, Professor: Having noticed he was gone, was I bothered?" |
mithrilandtj chapter 1 . 11/10/2019 I LIKE this story! |
Guest chapter 1 . 11/9/2019 Why use a Patronus when a lazy author can off a Dark Lord using his Disarming Charm of Death? Besides, the Patronus is really, really hard to cast. So hard that Doormat!Incompetent!Harry from Book Five teaches three quarters of the school how to cast it. Plus killing, even during a war, is bad, mmmkay. |
Corwyn chapter 1 . 10/7/2019 Loved it. Thanks for sharing this with us. |
Gouravsilentreader chapter 1 . 9/19/2019 Awesome story Love it so much |
Guest chapter 1 . 7/11/2019 Intimidating wizards in gray cloaks ... now what does that remind me of? |
Briar Ruler chapter 1 . 6/2/2019 I’m not sure if a corporeal Patronus is solid but assuming they are; it is canon that a Patronus can be directed to do particular tasks on behalf of its caster. Harry is excellent with the patronus charm in canon and if it really was a remote-controlled magical construct then it could be could be extremely useful for many things. And stags are dangerous animal. Plus, once you’ve figured out a spell that works in most dangerous situations, well, it is likely to become your default spell for dangerous situations. Also unlike Accio which is such a common spell that you’d assume if wizards had any common sense at all they would have a countercharm or ward to prevent summon things from being summoned by it; the Patronus is considered such advanced and limited use magic that it is fairly unlikely that anyone would have developed a charm or ward against it. I quite enjoyed this fic. It was short but made nice use of an interesting idea. (Giggles) I was also delighted by the Quibbler’s theory because of the way it was kind of true but kind of not true at the same time and such a strange idea that no readers were going to believe it. And Harry’s reaction to almost being killed again, was both amusing and quite reasonable, murder attempts do not inspire calmness. (Considers) You know, I can’t make sense of whatever rules govern the patronus charm either. It just isn’t something I actually think about very often but if I actually do…nope, sorry, can’t find consistent logical here. Thanks for writing and posting this fic! Apologies for the rambling. |
