I really love the way you write your OC's personalities! This is honestly the first time i was interested in new different characters that i don't know. Skylar and Crimson are absolutely awesome once i had found out more about them, and they have the best character traits ever! especially Crimson.

Imma be honest, but Ebon just seems like a clone of canon Ruby. Worse you did the boring thing of all and just literally added the OC doing what canon Ruby does.

What is with this weird trend in fanfics to introduce four-year-old Ruby, and call her a toddler? It's an oddly specific age that keeps coming up over and over, but more importantly. *four years old is no longer a toddler.* A toddler is one to three years old! Four is a child, not a toddler! Gah.

A few, months, later

Okay, so over three days I binge read all of Street Rose, then this story. Ill go negatives first to positive so I end on nice notes. Apologies if this is a long review. Some thoughts on Street Rose first.

It really seemed like you were going out of your way in Street Rose to slam and defame alot of the established characters. Between everything with Yang/Taiyang, Ozpin, etc. Not to mention the main characters had seemed to have god mode, what with 14 year old Ruby embarrassing Adam and the like. On top of that, so many characters being tied to Ruby's missing years was getting very convoluted.

Thankfully, for THIS story, those problems have been widely corrected. Characters act in character and believable. No one is made to seem godly compared to everyone else, which is important to not make the main characters TOO powerful. The fights have gotten better, and there's less time devoted to retreading the same stuff the canon show covered, like having Crimson and Skyler use Nora and Ren's scenes in Street Rose.

That said, the OC's are a blessing and a curse. I'll say this much, they are SO MUCH MORE ENJOYABLE in this story as opposed to Street Rose. They are alot more alive and the drama with them is actually real and interesting, instead of filler that had zero impact on the story, to the point where I began skipping sections in the last three chapters of Street Rose where it was only them talking to themselves and such. In this story, I like them, they're great, and more believable. . .

However, the amount of focus that the OCs get, no matter how good it is, kinda starts to take away from the actual main story drama. This fic started with dual storytelling from Ruby and Yang's points of view, but as soon as the OC's joined the club... Yang's just gone? it's popped up I feel once since the initial intro to Beacon i feel. I won't say you shouldn't have the OC's at all, and that developing them was a mistake, because it's not. You've done an excellent job with them this time, but at some point parts of the story should follow Yang again, and now we have this new arc with new madness, which just pushes the other stuff back further and further.

Which sucks, because the mystery of Ruby and reconnecting or fighting her original family or having her connections with her current family, that's the gold of this premise. Flawless! MWAH! The idea is perfect... when it's there. Maybe it'll be more interconnected with this current arc, but what with all the Cinder spotlight and potential Salem plot dump, I'm not expecting much soon on that front.

Overall thoughts on Street Rose: Good premise with lackluster execution and disappointment.
Overall thoughts on Bloodbound so far: Flawless premise with (Vader voice) Most impressive execution. I just wish for more on the original plot before having the wildness.

Side notes on Neo: I kinda hope you have Neo and Ruby get together soon rather than simply wait til the near end of the fic. Would be alot more interesting with an established romance rather than teasing it. Heck, just giving Neo more in general would work. As far as how Neo communicates, I enjoyed another fic's answer as having her make illusory sentences with her semblance for characters to read. In my head, that's how I've been imagining your scenes playing out anyway, so that's more personal preference.

Keep up the good work and can't wait for more.
