Wow, this is amazing. I admit I was a little confused in the beginning, and I don't think that's a bad thing or something to fix - it kind of made the fic more mysterious and more hilarious when everything came to pass. This is probably my favorite portrayal of Theseus so far, particularly the fact that he has a "sly reputation" and is a "merciless rascal." Oh, that is absolutely perfect. Dash in a little bit of overprotective, no-one-can-hurt-him-but-me big brother sentiment toward Newt and you've got yourself a recipe for the best Theseus there is. I'm in love with the portrayal!

This also makes Newt's future marriage seem like it'll be much more fun. I'm sure Tina would have a blast loosening up a bit, just enough to give her husband a good prank.

That being said, the descriptions you gave of Newt were some of the funniest stuff I've ever read. I re-read one snippet multiple times (the whole bit where "it was never the nifflers that posed the most terrible threat") and plan to share it with friends because it made me laugh so hard and was so hysterically on point.

This is such a great fic and such a fantastic one shot. Imagine defeating Grindelwald with humiliation and chaos. Now if only the ribbons had hit their mark - but it was much more hilarious that they hit Theseus instead. LOL.
