Awesome chapter.

Awesome chapter, or piece of one. As one friend to another and as a fan of your work to the author, I hope whatever you got going on turns out on the bright side. Even if this only counts as a preview, it's a really great piece of writing. I especially love the moment between Moon and Vartek at the end. It really feels like we're coming to a sort of mini-climax here and the tension is just palpable. I guess one question I have is, based on your A/N at the beginning, it sounds like after this chapter comes out in full we're getting Battle for Mewni...where does this all go? I don't expect or want a spoiler, I'm just curious is the plan for this fic is meant to run all the way through to Cleaved, or at least Cleaved in this massive AU you've constructed. Because coming to a season 2 finale with 51 chapters and over 350k words and having two more seasons to go would be... monstrous, I guess to steal a phrase from you haha. I have to imagine by that point it would be the longest fic on the site in the SVTFOE section. Or, are we coming to the climax of the story, having already hit that peak and only now beginning our descent into the maddening void? Overly dramatic phrasing aside, I've stuck with this story for this long and I ain't about to stop now. Keep on keeping on man, looking forward to what comes next. Oh... and thanks for confirming Corn is dropping the next ITPS chapter soon, been waiting on that like crazy.

Very nice, very nice indeed! I really enjoyed the trick you pulled this story by sandwiching the lighter fluffier Starco stuff with the heavy Moon/Dennis police drama story. It worked well to keep me invested and interested and if I'm honest kind of stole the show for me. Really loved Dennis and Moon's conversation in the beginning where she has to convince him she's not just going to vaporize him on sight (not that I'd blame her after the shit he's pulled).

Now for the meat of the story, the Vintal excursion. You did an excellent job here of showing how beaten down Star is by the events to date. She's obsessed with the possible consequences of the near future and their battle with Vartek and it really shows. It dovetailed really well with his efforts to kind of coax out that old Star thought various things she likes (singing, dancing, drinking, bedro-wait probably a different chapter) But in the end it was nice to see them get to cut loose with each other. I think this chapter really needed to happen to put a drop of sunshine in an otherwise bleak cup, so good job and as always, looking forward to the next chapter!

and made star "normal" again, i missed her crazyness and smiling :P

ps. what is this "the once and future queen" that you are talking about that much? New fanfic? If so where i can read this materpiece?

Not gonna lie, Star's attitude this chapter made me want to cry. I feel for her so much, and she's been through so much trauma that it's hard to be herself at times. I'm just hoping you don't pull the "sad ending" in this story just to be "different" because different isn't always better. I think most people would argue that a happy ending that's EARNED through lots of hardship is the best kind of ending. Because it feels fulfilling. Not that sad ending can't work, but I wouldn't be able to bare it for this story considering how much traumatizing crap these two have been through.

Yes, Yes, I know I was a shit and missed my last review, but I assure you, I read it many times when I helped you edit the damn thing! Bitching aside, this chapter was fantastic. You handled juggling the various plot lines brilliantly, and I can really feel that tension ramping up hard as Vartek brings his plan to fruition. Loved seeing his and Darc's little repartee as Darc has really come into his own as his own entity as a mix of Marco and Vartek's better nature, even if he acts like he's having a dissociative episode half the time. I laughed like 10 times during all the high AF Marco moments for the record Moon's hair DOES look like a butt! Great work on the original song. I remember how much of a headache that gave you while you were coming up with it. I remember how much of a pain in the ass it was coming up with a little two line original spell for Eclipsa, couldn't imaging doing an entire song! Either way, I'm hungry for more, and to see how my two favorite cuties deal with the potential universe ending plan that Vartek is cooking up!
