When has Dumbles ever truly gotten Harry out of major troubles?
He only ever shows up at the end as if to say "see, I was here for at least the end" but Never at the beginning to head things off nor as trouble starts to build... manipulative old bas-turd.
Dumbles whole premise towards Harry shows in canon that he's creating a willing martyr because Dumbles can't think of a way to kill off the supposed horcrux in Harry.
But he sure as he! could've gone after the suspected ones once he knew about the diary one.

I do Not like Dumbles... or most of the staff at Hogwarts, they're proven to be worthless at child safety.

Soooo, what happened with Harry's stuff?
Trunk, school supplies, pictures, map and cloak?
Why not have Dobby retrieve them and just have him leave it somewhere to be picked up?

Excellent! Harry does need to tell Sirius about Dobby. They also need to find a safer place to stay. I'm sure the Blacks or the Potters have houses overseas.

Wonderful break-your-heart-in-a-good-way bonding scenes. Harry and Sirius really need each other, and you've depicted it well.

I like your backstory with Lily and Petunia's parents being killed by Voldemort. It fleshes Petunia out - there's still no excuse for how she treated Harry, but it gives her a better reason for despising the wizarding world than just jealousy.

Anyway, back to Sirius and Harry...I'm glad the next few chapters are focusing on them. I'm looking forward to more bonding :)
