What can I say except that this totally blew me away? I’m so glad I found this as it is perhaps the best post canon TFP fics I’ve seen on this site
There is so much about this that I fantastic but first and foremost in the characters- Starscream himself was written consistently, developed, and contrasted well with the pre-Moonwing days (the culmination being his eventual realization of how Skylights behavior mimicked his past behavior and how he addressed that even in the wake of Aceflight and Sunchaser‘s death)
But every other character that got to have any screen time at all also shone- and that was your best writing quality here: every characterization is unique, described, consistent to their character, and emotional
This story overall is emotion. It seriously packs a punch. Admittingly, I don’t tend to get swept up and invested in fanfic characters as much as canon BUT this here is a stark exception- every death, every betrayal, every tragedy, they all HURT man. Likewise, every hug and heartwarming moment of hope and friendship was simply AMAZING
The writing style throughout is wordy in the best ways, not added unneeded padding but important pieces of atmosphere and story. The writing quality stayed consistently good, and any of the little English mistakes were easy to look past when the chapters are this long
The reincarnation thing was actually very clever and you handled it consistently- after the first chapter it was brought up in, I was able to correctly guess the reveals for Aceflight, Cloudtips, Steve, Duckstorm, and Blue because you write them, no matter which life they’re ok, consistently
On a final note, there are two things I absolutely, absolutely loved about this story- your handling of the Vehicons and the Predacons. Both are overlooked in many stories and it is a crying shame. But here you delve into complexities, cultures, prejudices faced by both, and you show so many developed characters that just so happen to be Vehicons or Predacons. From Carnation to Shiloh to Ripclaw to Vertebreak, every character was unique and wonderful to read. I can’t even name a favorite character because there were seriously so many memorable ones in here!
The friendships and bonds with Starscream were so completely heartwarming to see every time! KO always got me, the short lived bond with Onyx killed me, any of the Vehicons did as well, Predaking was a delight to read get close to Starscream, Aceflight friendship, OP and Megs and just...everyone.
The inclusion of so many ignored characters and so many well done OCs left this a beautiful story that dives into culture, redemption, prejudice and more- as I said, what can I say other than just it absolutely blew me away

Okay. First, I loved Starscream's characterization. He was a solid mech in his own right as Moonwing, and as he remembered he grew more and more like his former self, but in a positive way. Second, I liked the moral. It was done in an excellent manner, without being preachy. Third, I cried unashamedly when Aceflight died and was revealed to be Skywarp. That really hurt. Fourth, I think Shockwave and Megatronus just hanging out and being bros and adopting children in space was a great plot line. Fifth, the Starscream vs. Azure battle was glorious. Sixth, Bullhead got a puppy, which is all I have ever needed in life. Seventh, you wrote a good, solid, finished, well-written, in-character Starscream redemption. (Do you know how rare that is?

I must say, just to summarize the last few chapters in fewer words than I had planned, this is the perfect redemption arc style story for Starscream (though I wish there was more of a story to tell, but oh well). I will point out somethings specifically, however: Him taking on the Predacon 'Queen' the way he did was pure and utter badassery that I didn't much expect out of Starscream, yet the character buildup to him becoming that much of a ballsy fighter felt so believable in the end. Oh, and I knew that 'Steve' was gonna make his comeback somehow. I wish that 'Skywarp' would've as well before the story concluded, but oh well again. I'm also glad to see that Starscream finally convinced everyone to renounce both their Decepticon AND Autobot badges/allegiances and instead revert back to what they were before the war: Cybertronians. Regardless of physical and ideological differences (the latter difference having been dealt with throughout this story, of course).

PS: This story, and your other one, are truly two of the G.O.A.T stories from the fanfic side of Transformers and I really hope to see more stories from you in the future. Keep at it!

I'm sad to that this fic is finished, but this ending fits so perfectly that I guess I can't be too mad :) honestly this is probably one of my favourite fics, I keep coming back to reread it (especially the earlier chapters) and it always makes a bad day better ;D I'll definitely read any fics you write in future! that idea you have sounds interesting..

I'm curious of your next fic, the one you mentioned in the comments above. I don't think anyone has ever tackled that story directly. I have my own ideas for it but haven't written them yet. It would be interesting to see how Prima handles the original Predaking.

Wooo, this was epic! I hope Jetfire makes it through. It'd be anticlimactic for him to survive millions of years of civil war to later on be felled some cheap shot.

Hopefully no one gets the wrong idea when they see the newly unmasked Starscream marching an army's worth of Deceptions and Predacons to New Spark...
