This probably the best Garrus/FemShep story I've read! It has good pace, content, and readability. Is awesome, and I can't wait for more chapters!

He chuffed, leaning over to rest his forehead against her shoulder, fighting the urge to nuzzle his face against her neck. "Tell me again anyway?" He felt so torn, so conflicted, he couldn't think straight. Or maybe he just drank too much to think straight. He just wanted to curl up with her and sleep. Things would look better in the morning, they had to. —Aww, poor Garrus. It’s so sweet that he allows himself to be so vulnerable with her.

Her tongue slipped past his mouth plates, and he opened his mouth wider to her, letting her avoid his teeth as her tongue met his. He tried to match her movements, but after a few seconds, it felt more like the galaxy's most awkward battle for dominance, so he relaxed, letting her guide him instead. —This cracked me up. I love the not-so-subtle jab at the “tongues battling for dominance” thing! XD

And the ending was just beautiful. I particularly love how you conveyed through Shepard’s body language that she was battling the same nervousness and uncertainty as Garrus was. You’ve really done a fantastic job with the best-buddies-and-also-lovers relationship they have. This is such a lovely fic, thank you for writing it! :)

He watched her kick impossible in the teeth on a daily basis, then shoot it in the knee just for good measure. —That is a fantastic line. :)

"Which probably means right in the middle of it, surrounded on all sides, blowing things up." —Yep, sounds like Shepard, all right!

"But I'm not opposed to the idea, either." Something about the look in her eyes nearly made him miss the first step. —That was just freakin’ adorable.

These little moments between the two of them are just so perfect. It’s a totally different dynamic than between Shepard and Thane, but just as real and intense and beautiful. All the love. :D

There’s something about these two together that’s just so... pure. Almost innocent, though that’s not the right word. And you’re doing such a beautiful job of capturing the dynamic of their relationship, the genuine warmth and caring behind all the banter and snark and uncertainty. I’m looking forward to seeing how this story plays out. :)

You've done such a beautiful job capturing the complexities of their relationship, even in its earliest stages, and I love how you've gotten into Garrus's head with all of his conflict and confusion and denial. I can't wait to see where you take this! :D
