I have just binge-read both this and the Princess of Winter, and desperately hope you have started working on the story is wonderful so far, and I can't wait to see how the changes you've made further affect "canon" events now that you're getting to the events of the books themselves, ie. presumably Cersei has no children with Jaime in this universe, but has she found another Lannister to cuckold the king with? ect. Anyway, I hope you're happy and healthy and soon in the mood to continue this story. x

The empress of winter? Where is it?

I just realized I never favourited this, I grievous misstep on my account. Good thing I was thinking about it and found it again, and seeing that you’re posting again, makes me think maybe there’s a reason? Does that mean we will get the next story in this? I really hope so, you were building it up quite well and I was (still am) excited to see where you were going with it. I will always love a gender bend of one of my favourite characters, I adore strong female leads. I really do hope you bring back tales of our Heda.

I’m loving this story, until now I never even considered reading a gem Eddard story but now I think I’ll look for a few more. I love how you’ve been improving the north it’s something I always wanted to see I the books and in the fanfics I’ve read. I can’t wait to see how Robert decides to react to the long night Cersei doesn’t kill him before it comes and I hope that Euron returns with all kinds of treasures from Valyria maybe a few Valyrian steel blades or ways to make them, that would be super beneficial to the north.

I hope Empress of Winter is still in the works. I saw that at the end of Princess you posted when it was up so I’m following this story hoping you do the same.

Wow! I just found this story and The Princess of Winter and it is amazing! Really well done. I love stories that have the North becoming powerful in their own right and this one is very well done. You've incorporated so much of the original series but twisted it to fit your own purposes. Nothing seems out of place or wrong for the story you are telling.

So many times when people do retellings, some things just happen because they happened in the book and the author didn't want to change it, even though it made no sense in the context of their own story. You have very nicely avoided that particular pitfall. Great job.

I loved all the different improvements Heda made to her kingdom. A part of me feels like it might be unrealistic for them to be doing so well after leaving the Seven Kingdoms but I love it too much to complain.

One thing I was particularly impressed about was the mention of upgrading the roads around the North. People often underestimate the importance of a good, reliable roading system. Not just for the military, but also to keep supplies flowing. This would be especially important in winter.

I note it's been over a year since you posted this story, so I won't hold my breath for the Empress of Winter but I still really hope you do write it. This is a fantastic story and I would love to read more.

Hi you have really awesome stories there, and I love it that there is a story which is focused on ned/hedarra since there are not a lot of them and he was one of my favorite characters!
Regarding the question about jorah in the annex... He would probably be important for denaerys but to be honest I can't see him trading slaves
Reasons:
1. Before he just went against the warden and not his queen
2. The relationship between him and he'd is much closer than in Canon and I can't imagine him betraying her like that
3. Tbh for me it would have more logic if he gave is wife an ultimatum - either stay, leave or divorce

Ps:why did u put his father at the night watch in Canon he is only there because of the disgrace jorah brought to the house
