You got me with the end if the line line. I love it. But sadly in the end it was the end of the line. Now he and Sam have to have each others back.

Aaaaand there come the floods of tears again. This was so agonizingly, painfully written...perfect and utterly devastating.

IMO, the alternate title for Infinity War could've been "Poor Blond Guys, They Had To Watch Their Brothers Die...Again! Enough Already!" I know it's gonna be resolved, but...yeah...

Heart-wrenching, and nicely written. My heart still hurts remembering that scene, that entire ending!

After Infinity War, I visited the characters pages on the MCU wiki, and it was just sad, seeing them referred to in the past tense. God this is tragic.

If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of my heart shattering after I read this one-shot. You did a really good job at getting inside Steve's head.
I feel the same way as you about this movie: I don't know what I was expecting exactly, but it wasn't this. I mean, I expected major character deaths (especially Captain America, and maybe Thor) and yet it was still shocking when people starting disintegrating at the end - and I REALLY wasn't expecting Bucky to go out like that.

No! I know Bucky is a alive, but oh god. This movie saw Bucky die, and the next movie... Steve is going to die.

I am not ready, no way.

Like you, I was so focused of the idea that Steve would die I never even considered Bucky (along with so many others) would instead. The way he said Steve and Steve's reaction was so heartbreaking. I think you really captured that look of loss Steve had in this fic.

Ok so I've seen this movie twice now and nothing can make it not hurt! The first time I saw this all I could think was "it's the end of the line" so your last sentence just killed me

It is not the end of the line. I refuse to believe it. I'll accept it as a roadblock for the time being.

Just when I thought I’d finished shedding tears over this movie. Really excellent writing, but now I’m sad. That means you’ve done your job well.

(wiping tears) YES. YES. THIS 1000x YES! I too am ... exhausted and gut punched from this. This is great and really captures exactly what I'm thinking and feeling right now. The horror. Pure and simple. But... next movie, we'll see Bucky back and Steve die. I'm just not ready.
