A wonderful conclusion to this story! Seriously, its so nice to see stories where hat kid stays on the planet and the fact that everyone care about her and that you gave mu a happy ending only makes this ending even better! The one thing I do hope for is that you delve more into Hat kid's past. Also are you aware of the moleman lore? If so then what's your thoughts on it?

Finally I got down to reading this, and man what a ride!
And gosh darn it! a happy ending for Mu, my world is complete.
ahem, fanboying aside.
I've really been putting this off longer than I should have, and nearly forgot how much I've enjoyed it.
I ought to read it over again start to finish, to really appreciate the work put into it, and to take in the character put into those who we genuinely care for. It's hard to choose favorites! XD

When it comes to the gameplay aspect of the story you seem to stumble and trip over yourself. But when it comes to the human aspect of the story that is where your talents really shine through.

The Snatcher is an unholy abomination, a spawn of darkness, a tortured and damaged soul and yet he has enough humanity to care about a little girl! Hat Kids parents as far as I can tell were normal people and yet they did not have any humanity. Irony!

Okay, so one thing I should mention: I'm pretty sure Hat Kid's pony tail is an ACTUAL tail (her x-ray showed there was bone in it). Plus, the game started out with her pony tail already intact. Figured you'd like to know that, given this is supposed to expand on the game and all.

I caught that Undertale reference. ;)

What about the Alpine Skyline story rift?

Absolutely amazing retelling of the story. The added action and details and angst made it a million times better than the game's base plot line. If I write an AHiT fan fiction, I will definitely use this as inspiration

Ah, I gained something that I didn’t know I needed, this story as a whole completed the game for me, and also, don’t get me wrong, the game is awesome and was the game I enjoyed the most of 2018, but it felt incomplete (like how did that MG got all time pieces? Why owls work for DJ Groves? Why Snatcher likes hat girl is he was bullying her 24/7), but here you wrote scenes that really feel like part of the game and expand the characters and also add a really cute and nice ending (dying from happiness here, I can’t handle all this happiness).
Overall, nice fic.

Well, at least we know why we have people from the ku-klux-hat outside Dead Bird Studio, you just don't make Hat girl cry like that and get away from it.
And the other hand, another nice extra escene and even more details to the story! Really was a shame that MG never really appeared again in the videogame, I hope we have a DLC from her point of view.

Well, will have to find a video with all the different endings, I personally choose hat kid as the murdered just to see what happened, this part of the game was surprising to me, really tough for a moment he was ded and crows were kidnaping the train to do something to hat girl(I mean, all those plans and a detailed drawing of Hat Girl anatomy and hat functions was pretty suspicious).
Also has girl would have been a nice to see as murderer (I'm biased) , I mean, as you said an unknown alien, with a great fine , worked to help Mafia, know to work with little terrorist (MG), but with the evidence of her... Well, we see of that probably they don't have a spy network.

It's been nice reading this sooo far, even if we follow the game story, this add nice details here and there that make the game story mode fluid and answers some things(like how the heck she got back to her ship). Also adds more dialogue and interaction with the characters.
