Prior to Yang coming in it was pretty enjoyable but just wow, once Yang walks in it gets *awful*. Percy's freakout is such cliché angst bait garbage. He's aware he's somewhere else and that sometimes, people have small resemblances to each other. Yang's blonde, Annabeth is blonde, that's the sum total of how alike they look. She barely looks like her, she barely *acts* like her, and the trait that would have been the 'oh she looks a lot like Annabeth', she doesn't have. Him going *off the rails* like that upon seeing another blonde girl is just lazy writing and conflict for the sake of it.

Not to mention Glinda just walks in with a OHKO power that she's never had in canon because the plot has to progress somehow.

Enjoyable story, a few things I don't like but overall it's a good story.

And theres absolutely no reason he couldnt have done that from the very beginning. This entire fucking time. As a matter of fact, what the fuck was that mech fight 5 chapters ago? Percy cannot use ice, for one. But for no fucking reason, neos eyes inexplicably turn him into a raging retard?! AND HE DIESNT EVEN TARGET HER?! the only reason he did his little battle rage gimmic is because neis eyes triggered it, and he doesnt even fucking focus her down?

Its another poor excuse for him to lose a fight he shouldnt have. By all means, have a protagonist powerful enough to smack teams RWBY and JNPR around as well as goodwitch. Lets him smack qrow around. And by all means, have a protagonist weak enough to lose to the likes of roman and neo (even if he killed the titan of time, inneumerous ammounts of monsters, the titan of the sun, fucking giants nade with the purpose of bringing down the gods, but he still loses to a flimsy fucking phychopathic loli) but you cant have fucking both.

With and on purpose, percy displayes immense skill with both of his powers, theres no fucking reason he shouldnt be roflestomping the likes of torchwick and neo, particularly at the docks. The ammount of skill he displays is flakier than fucking dandruff. And no, you cant hide behind "oh hes such a seaweed brain" hes quite fucking adept at combat and combat scenarios.

Lets pretend that his loss at the dockyard, and his inexplucable loss at the mech fight, make fucking sense, theres no reason for him to not at least tried to collapse the tunnel before the got anywhere close to this city, let alone before the train even takes off. Or at the very least, dislodge it from the tracks.

You simply want tha cannon rehash as well as the op protagonist, who is also a fucking dunce at any point for no reason other than you dont wanna change the plot. And as much as i enjoy the subplot, and the character interactions, and the moments when he displays his gross amount of power, those dont make up for the otherwise lazy writing for the sake of plot convenience. Youve fallen into the same pit the writers of the show have, only worsened by the otherwise op protagonist.

Its completely infuriating, especially considering how good everything otherwise is. I would and somewhat do enjoy everything about this, if it wasnt for the gratuitous inconsistencies and issues ive just stated.

Why isnt anyone giving him water, and in fact why hasnt anyone used it last time? They know that it ups his healing factor by a large margin. Percy himself should have been using it last time. Also, he cant make nor control ice.

The fighting was good, and the romance really wasnt that bad, especially considering some of the stuff ive read. The whole chaos being hurt by grimm thing didnt seem like that big of a deal for me, just carelessness on his part because hes so OP and isnt trying to hurt salem.

The whole this is pretty meh, but my problem is with forcing salem into her position. Genocide is irredeemable while something like destruction is at least a little better.

Bit annoyed at the whole no killing this, while they don’t really explore it in RWBY, I’ve always hated how these types seem to have no problem taking out unnamed monks while leaving named villains alive. In Mountain Glenn, RWBY seems to have no problem knocking out or throwing White Fang of the train. Unconscious, defenseless, and with a horde of Grimm coming. It’s certain that those they threw off died to the Grimm but nooooo they never address that. As long as you don’t kill them yourself then it’s fine I guess.

Does it ever get into the rwby world? Not trying to be rude, but I wanted to read something with the rwby cast in it, and this also seems a tad boring so far. Does it get better?
