Now this was a sad one. I feel so bad for Cliff. I just want to give him a hug! But I do like stories like this, where sometimes crap just happens and there isn't much anyone can do about it no matter what. Real life is sort of like that as well. I've seen people dismiss stories like this, claiming stuff like this is nothing more than cheap drama for pure shock value, or unnecessarily dark and edgy. If written badly, I can see how excessive darkness can seem a bit much, but you managed to write Cliff's past here relatively well, so the darkness of the situation works, and Cliff's feelings and reactions are realistic. But I do admit, I don't know much about PTSD other than some symptoms that I only did a little bit of research on, so I can't vouch for how accurately you wrote it.

I did like that the Bobcats did try to make an effort to reach out to Cliff after what happened, even if Cliff sees them as the reason his mom and sister died in the first place. It shows that not all gangs are heartless, trouble making delinquents who trash every place they go and get into fights. Good on you for going against that stereotype. And again, thanks for explaining the slang. I thought "razz my berries" was something more sexual in nature, since it definitely sounds like it can be an innuendo of some sort, like the expression "pop my cherry" means take someone's virginity. I am kind of surprised Clyde would use the word ruminate. That's a pretty uncommon word for anyone to use, especially a teenager. Either you intended on making Clyde seem more intelligent than he comes off (Which would actually be pretty nice and refreshing), or maybe you weren't sure of a better word to use. I would have just wrote "Pile up some z's and think about it." But if the former was what you intended, then that's great!

Not something I was ever expecting, Not something I'd ever have guessed I needed but OMGINEEDEDTHIS Greaser Mineral town, I really like that you're going to make the rival gang girls too. So far this is all so good- and SO REAL. The title drew me in I absolutely LOVE Doug- he's the familial figure these depraved boys need. Mineral Town was my first game and I married Ann, it was so special 'cause it really did feel like Doug became your family too. I used to always take my son to go visit his grandpa XD Although if I'm misunderstanding and you go a different way with Doug that's fine too XD Honestly I'm just ready for this fifties road trip

Poor Kai. I kinda feel bad for him. His trying to talk to the girls kind of reminds me of how whenever I try to make conversation with someone, or anyone for that matter, they always get mad at me or look at me weird because I said something that I had no idea was inappropriate. It happens. Thanks for explaining the 50s slang. If I ever work on fan fics for A Wrinkle In Time, I'll probably borrow those. Anyway, this was a good chapter! I can't wait to read more!

Ooooh! Now this is interesting! I'm excited for this one! I like how you get into Gray's head and go into why he does what he does, rather than depicting him as one of those leather jacket wearing, motorcycle riding guys with silly Elvis hair. Then again, you'll probably have him start doing that stuff later on, and that is part of the greaser culture, but I know little about greaser culture except for some movie depictions and stereotypes. I especially liked these two sentences, "It was as if the instructors had all decided to speak a different language one day" and "Formulas like a hidden code that everyone understood but him." These lines all speak of endless confusion and anxiety, and as someone who's autistic, you just put practically any anxiety and fear I had about school, and other parts of my life, into words. I can't wait to see the rest of this!
