| Elizabeth Bower chapter 1 . 8/22/2012 Well, that was interesting... I can't stop laughing now. Somehow, I find the idea of Vetinari and Vimes laughing at exactly the same thing, with the same implications, at exactly the same time deserves a lot of laughter. Of course, I loved Vetinari's amusement at the whole thing, since let's face it, he finds the others such a bore, and the Watch FAR more interesting. Well written, as usual, and excellently well-done. Really, it was quite...amusing, and informative. Detritus changed the bow between the time he got it and Night Watch, but we're never told what the reason for the change was, or anything of a similar nature. All in all, loved it. |

| Twoflower chapter 1 . 3/24/2003 This is a delightful story, I found myself in the worls of the Watch series yet again. Loved all the gags, "It was the force of Detritus" especially cracked me up. Liked the bit with Vimes and Angua trying not to laugh at Carrot' serious outlook on drill exercise. Only aye am not sure that Vetinari would casually go places with the likes of Selachii to talk about business, Guild brothers or not. I rather think V would make the poor guy to make an appointment in the Oblong office and wait in the anteroom listening to the disconcertingly sounding clock for a few minutes :) |
