Author has written 1 story for Jedi Knight. Hi. I once asked "does anyone actually read these bio pages?". Of course, because life _does_ have a sense of humor, someone emailed me practically the next day, saying "Hey, I saw on your bio that you liked George R. R. Martin!" headdesks And now, with that nifty hit-counter thingy, I know that fifty-five people have looked at my bio page. Which is mildly worrisome, because it's been horribly out of date for several years now. Maybe I ought to pay more attention to what I'm doing... Bah. Anyway, I'm from the north-eastern United States. Currently a student in that nation's capital. Brand sparkly-new NREMT-B--I figure if doing _that_ for free ain't enough to fix up my tarnished karma, nothing will. Proud owner of a Dell XPS Gen 2 laptop named Fred and a very small Targus mouse. I'm still short, blond and blue-eyed. Female. Bibliophilic. Gamer geek. You get the picture. If you wandered by to get my email address for one reason or another...here it is: thesnarkysophist (at) gmail (dot) com. Voila. Did I leave a nasty review on your nice little fic? Address complaints to above address. Feel like chewing me out over my cruddy little effort? Go ahead. Want to chat about ficcery? Always up for that! I look forward to hearing from you. I _like_ getting email. And now, I will proceed to shamelessly plug some of my favorite Real Life authors. Because there isn't a Favorite Books page. In no particular order: Terry Pratchett: If you haven't read him yet, what the hell are you waiting for? Go forth and _read, you poor ignorant plebe! He is recommended to anyone with a brain and a sense of humor. Oh, and whatever you do? Don't start with The Color of Magic. Go for Guards! Guards!. George R. R. Martin: Love that guy's stuff. Sweepingly epic fantasy, convoluted political maneuvering, brutally realistic writing...I don't think I can really say enough good about these books. Not for those who are easily squikked out by blood or other nasty things. It's like the War of the Roses...only with about four extra factions thrown in. Lois McMaster Bujold: Seventeen year old boy on holiday accidentally acquires mercenary fleet of five thousand. Honestly, what's _not_ to like? Sci-fi, space opera stuff. Those are my top three authors. Seriously, if you haven't read them already, what are you doing standing around here for? Scram! |
