I really like this story. However, I would like more back story on the James and Lilly Potter/ Harry adopted by goblins scenario. You haven't covered the why's there, or did I miss it?

my first opinion would be that this is trash

a pointless dramatic plot whose only goal was to make Harry on the best option by default, after all the host family was the worst of the worst and not goin with Harry would be close to hell in earth

my second opinion is that you are able to play the heart strings, so now i wonder what meaning this has to the plot, or were you being pointlessly dramatic in something that would not be seen again?

my Third Opinion is that the plot is not something that you should see in a drama, this is out of a hentai were the deluded protagonist would leave thinking that they can be happy together when they meet against latter, unaware that by then she would no longer be the girl he fell in love with but instead a broken soul whose life goal is nothing more than to be a sextoy for the pleasure of her master

so again, not something that you should see in your average drama as it rings the wrong heart strings and instead makes me wonder if you saw a Hentai in which a similar problem took place and your desire with this story was to solve said problem, after all fanfictions are what ifs and wish fullifillmemnt.

you shouldn't make it a choise between hell and the main character, it tells the audience that the only reason the MC is good is that the other person is the devil

and while it is merelly my personal opinion, you can easily ignore it but you shouldn't reach the deep end so easily, i almost drooped the fic with this chapter and hope that the following will be better

on a fovorable light everything about the story till the dark point was good, it is only then that you problem showed by adding drama, sentences, flow, wordings and characters personalities were somewhat great

After hearing of the falling of the Hogwarts wards and that all the teachers & students were killed, I was confused. I thought I read that Dumbledore was at Hogwarts back in ch. 8. But on going back, I see it says he was in a castle in Scotland but doesn't clearly say its Hogwarts.

Besides, I suppose he could have rebuilt the school and had new staff/students. And I'm guessing he was not part of staff at time of Bane's Massacre, esp. with how it says the students didn't have wands due to the Toad. Any chance she was the headmistress during that time?
