Hmmm, is the Hogwarts school year in this story same as canon?
Then it should be more than 9 months like many muggle schools, more like 9 months 3 weeks. Easier to say to 10 months long. They only have July and August months for summer vacation

It starts on Sept. 1, and goes to late June. In canon, 1st to 3rd year, they left on or around the 3rd Thursday (yeah I had looked up a calendar on HP lexicon for the dates), usually 19th to 23rd or so. 4th year they didn't have the 3rd task until last week of June and went home first week of July (3rd ?) and then there's no mention of what date they left for 5th and 6th year.

Dragged not drug. Duel not dual.
