DragonLadyRelena chapter 1 . 11/4/2018
Darn right you do, Martha! Good for you!

I'll freely admit that I'm not Martha's biggest fan, but this actually helps me see her in a better light. I honestly thought that she didn't listen to the Doctor when he said they were together, trying too hard to replace Rose, but she eventually came to see her own worth, even if it took walking the Earth alone to figure it out. I was happy to see her go, making the decision to go of her own accord. It wasn't just that her family needed her, she had found herself and what she was willing to live with and what she wants for herself. I mean, who wouldn't want a love like that? Leaving when she did, the way she did, will allow her to do so.

Not to be a jerk about Rose, but she was not flawless. She ditched Mickey immediatly when she heard the Doctor telling her that Tardis is a time travel machine, she also not only made Jackie grieve over her, therefore making her get Mickey go to police 5 times the whole year, she also filtred with Adam and Jack, broke up with Mickey trought making him feel like crap and she ripped Tardis console to become Bad Wolf, despite the fact that Tardis was an sentient being. I respect that you are a Rose/10 shipper, but Rose was a selfish girl. Martha actually worked hard to become a doctor, while Rose could not even get hersealf a job after getting her job blown off. Also the Doctor made Martha feel second best to Rose,he told Martha that he will take her only one trip, yet he took her in 3 trips, dumping her home afterwards and he also did nothing, when he took her as a full time companion,to protect her the 2 times she was picked up by racist people. Its understable that Rose was his first companion after war,but that did not mean that he had to treat Martha not only as if she was second best and not even tell her that she did a good job. Ugh,in the episode with Sontaran,i really wanted to punch the Doctor for telling Martha that she is feeling quite comfortable after sayng that whoever caries a gun is his enemy. Nonethless,i loved this one-shot,because it was with my favorite companion,Martha Jones, and whoever dislikes as a companion of Doctor is a moron. Have a nice day.

I had never thought about it from Martha's point of view before, not really. An interesting and refreshing take on that conversation and Martha. Good job!
Alley McNally chapter 1 . 5/7/2017
Wow this was a good story. Martha isn't one of my favorite companions, but she does deserve better. I kinda liked the hookup between her and Mickey. It kinda made sense. Good story. Thank you for your hard work!

never really thought about that interaction that deeply before from Martha's perspective. Well done
RAGAnne chapter 1 . 5/2/2017
Sad! Although I've never really understood why Martha might think that the Doctor should just open up about his past with someone he just met. It bugged me a bit in "Gridlock" that she felt she had the right to issue some kind of ultimatum when he didn't feel like sharing. And of course, the Doctor would be more likely to open up to Jack who shares some of his history with Rose. Still unrequited feelings are never fun to confront.

Very interesting take. Nice way to bring the realization about that more is going on than the obvious.
