Um, how many times do they allow you to say "wow"? Because, honestly, that's about the size of my vocabulary after reading this. This story is undeniably *amazing*. So stark, so horrid, so poignant, and yet so utterly astounding. Wonderful, WONDERFUL job. One of the saddest parts: Legolas and Gimli's death. Honestly, I could picture it in my mind. And the most terrifying part: the idea that the phial of Galadriel is rolling at the bottom of the Anduin, slowly being chipped to pieces. When the darkness is released from that little glass, I wouldn't want to be alive.
I must have liked it if I'm rambling like this! Anyway, I loved it!

That was chilling. The way they all go off onto their own little paths of corruption, which slowly grow and grow... that is a foreboding thought. This was excellently written and well suited the Tragedy section. I loved it all!

*tears* oh dear... That was wonderful! The best AU darkfic I've ever read. I just stood staring at my monitor for a while afterward... in shock... Oh my. That was scary. It was so...real. gotta go now... I have to check my books to make sure that's not the way the story really ends... Then maybe I'll huddle in the corner and read it again...

Good God almighty!

This is the best AU story I have ever read. Dark, terrible, it pulls no punches and frightens the crap out of me. And everything that happens in it sounds entirely, horribly plausible. Yes, this is EXACTLY what COULD have happened. *Shudder* Why this truly excellent story doesn't have more reviews is beyond me-I suppose potential reviewers are still traumatized and hiding under their beds, hugging their copies of LOTR and whimpering "It was just fanfic, just fanfic...";o)

Wow, this was a horrible story (let me exlplain). The story was really good and well-written, but. Sam's my favourite character, you see, and this was really depressing. In a good way, though, because I know this is only what *could* have happened. :)
