This was a great installment. You write with so much delicious detail, I can hardly take it all in. I also love your other characters and their development. Reading this on Remembrance Day was not planned, but it rounded out all the imagery I had seen during the day. Well done. And most of all thanks for keeping at this. Oh noo having to ration food in a horriable way as the men need food at a time of war feel bad for him having to do so and going with out .. Oh NOOO Aramois and Athos in trouble and Jardis not sure what he's going to do .. Aramis is his best Athos is a tag along what will he do?

I’m so glad you have posted the next chapter to this story, all good things come to she who waits! Well, this little spot of trouble Athos and Aramis have found themselves in doesn’t look like it’s going away any time soon and I wonder what ‘punishment’ will be dealt to them. The blossoming friendship between the two is going to be tested to the limit I’m sure.

that doesn't bode well for Aramis and Athos... but I guess Jardis will need those two soon...

I'm in love with this story! I find reading about the beginning of their friendship endearing, and I hope their protectiveness towards one another will only grow in the upcoming chapters. Thanks a lot for writing, and please update soon!

It's been a while since you posted, and I'm always a little late to the review, but I'm glad I waited until I had time to absorb your words and the story.

You write the tragedies of war as someone who either studied it very well or had experienced it, and if you have done neither, I can only be humbled by your vast sense of imagination and word-smithing. The descriptions, the scenery, and the emotions brought forth by this battle encampment grow even more detailed with each chapter.

Despite Athos and Aramis being entities of another author, you have clearly made them your own while keeping everything about their core characters, as seen from the TV series. Your original characters shine through just as brilliantly, and while I have developed disgust for the cruelty of some of those characters, I have developed true sympathy for others.

I look forward to seeing how Aramis finally puts an end to Giles' reign of terror over the troops.

welcome back I was wondering what was comming next and ypu dident disapoint.. Athos is a mule at times..hahah Feel bad for the boy hope he makes it some how.. Ut ohhh Giles may wanna stay clear of Athos but I doubt he will and Aramis wil be on high alert
