I will repeat it as my mantra, no matter what the show writers decide to do. They're family, dammit, and I won't let them take those moments we've seen on the show away from us.

Okay, that fangirling over, I thought the ending to this was good. Sappy? Yes. Cheesy? Yes. Good? Yep. It fit the story well, to me. Plus, after all that angst it's kinda hard not to go sappy, compared to all the action you just did. So you did well.

Figures Mac would try and still pin this on him. Kid has a streak of Eeyore in him, I swear.

After the nonsense that was Screwdriver, I really needed these warm fuzzies today, so I'm glad for the lighter whump this chapter and the increase of team fluff and camaraderie. Especially loved the little bit where Patty took down Ramirez too. She is such a quick draw, she'd win all the old-western standoffs. I swear. *sighs happily*

Love your story! I hate Nikki too! I think it's a sting to get Nikki and her boss & cohorts and Thornton is just part of the plan, but I hope it's not just wishful thinking on my part.

I do not think that your Thornton is OOC; at least, if we only take canon up until 1.11, Scissors, I think she does care a lot about her team and her agents. I think she does struggle with balancing her duty and her job and responsibility to take into account the mission and the greater good with the fact that she does care, which is pretty much exemplified by her telling Jack, Mac and Bozer that they're the only ones she trusts to bring Riley in alive, or her reaction to Agent Bannister's death.

I think you've done a good job depicting her and her relationships with the team!

I kinda like Mac and Nikki together. They're hot and he loves her, that said, I don't trust her. I think I like the way things were for the angst of it. LOL
I don't think it's finished, the storyline. Nikki mentioned it starting with Birkoff. She told Mac he couldn't trust Thornton. He might be on the wrong side. Blah blah and yet she didn't know/guess Thornton was the mole? It was too fast and too neatly wrapped up. Something has to be coming down the road. And the Murdoc stuff was weird. And I wish they would hurry up and get to the Mac Vs Murdoc stuff the way it should be. Bozer has had more Murdoc time than Mac and that's not right. And Murdoc is totally involved in all this, so I think the mole is someone WAY high up with lots of power and access and ability to even fake Nikki being CIA. They never got any actual proof otherwise. I'm just hoping that Mac is allowed to be as smart as he is and that he doesn't actually trust Nikki after being fooled by her. That he is biding his time and there is more to come.
